Name: PK28148 ============= Summary: Credential Vault import/export through XML Access Problem Description: Migration of Credential Vault data is currently available only through direct database access and database specific tools / SQL statements. To provide better means of migrating credential vault data (namely credential secrets), this fix offers functionality to export/import credentials secrets as encrypted XML Access items. Thus providing a migration process that does not rely on database specific tools but using the XML Configuration Interface of WebSphere Portal. Problem Solution: This fix offers functionality to export/import credentials secrets from the Default Vault as part of the migration process. The credentials secrets are exported as encrypted XML Access items and imported into the target WebSphere Portal system. After installation of this fix, the WebSphere Portal XML Access behavior does not change. The export / import behavior has to be enabled through configuration changes in WebSphere Portal as well as through special command line paramters for the XML Access client tool. Details on the available functionality and the migration process can be found in the WebSphere Portal Info Center under "Migrating the remaining access control configuration" in section "4 - Migrating credential vault data" e.g. here http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wpdoc/v6r0/topic/com.ibm.wp.ent.doc/wpf/sec_mig_roles.html Failing Module(s): XML Access Credential Vault Affected Users: All users Version Information: Portal Version(s): 6.0.0.0 Pre-Requisite(s): Co-Requisite(s): --- Platform Specific: This fix applies to all platforms.
