INSTALLATION COMPONENTS Fix Pack 1 provides fixes to problems listed at the end of this readme for the following components: o IBM(R) Classification Module, Version 8.5 (core product) o Integration for IBM FileNet(R) P8 PREREQUISITES You must install IBM Classification Module, Version 8.5 before installing this fix pack. For instructions on installing IBM Classification Module 8.5 (core product) see: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/classify/v8r5/topic/com.ibm.classify.admin.doc/g_AG_Installation.htm For instructions on installing the integration for IBM FileNet P8, see: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/classify/v8r5/topic/com.ibm.classify.p8integration.doc/bnrgs001.htm NOTE: If this is the first time that you are installing IBM Classification Module and the integration for IBM FileNet P8: 1) When you install the main product, select the following option for the Classification Review Tool component: o Do not integrate into an application server 2) When you install the fix pack, select the appropriate Web application server option for the Classification Review Tool (WebSphere Application Server or Apache Tomcat). BEFORE UPDATING THE IBM FILENET P8 INTEGRATION If you previously installed, configured, and ran the IBM FileNet P8 integration, do the following before installing the fix pack: 1) Back up the Classification Review Tool configuration files in the following directory: ICM_HOME\ECMTools\conf 2) For Classification Review Tool installations on WebSphere Application Server: a. Ensure that WebSphere Application Server is running. b. Undeploy the Classification Review Tool Web application (see WebSphere Application Server documentation for instructions). For Classification Review Tool installations on Apache Tomcat: a. Undeploy the Classification Review Tool Web application (see Tomcat documentation for instructions). b. Shut down Tomcat. INSTALLING THE FIX PACK 1) Stop any processes that are running under the IBM Classification Module 8.5 installation directory. 2) Download the appropriate setup file for your operating system: o setup_aix_ICM85_fp1.bin (for IBM AIX(R)) o setup_linux_ICM85_fp1.bin (for Linux(R)) o setup_sunos_ICM85_fp1.bin (for Sun Solaris) o setup_win32_ICM85_fp1.exe (for Microsoft(R) Windows(R)) 3) Run the setup program to install the fix pack. Select the same options that were selected when the main product was installed: o To update IBM Classification Module 8.5 core components, select Basic. o To update IBM Classification Module 8.5 core components and the integration for IBM FileNet P8, select Custom. 4) If you previously installed, configured, and ran the IBM FileNet P8 integration before installing the fix pack, copy the backed-up Classification Review Tool configuration files to the ICM_HOME\ECMTools\conf directory. VERIFYING THE FIX PACK INSTALLATION To verify that the fix pack installation was successful, view the About box in the Classifier, Classification Manager, or Classification Workbench applications: o On the Help menu, click About.
