INSTALLING THE FIX PACK 

For system requirements and detailed installation instructions, see the 
IBM Classification Module for WebSphere Content Discovery Administrator's Guide.

You can access the document in PDF format on the Web from the 
IBM OmniFind(TM)Discovery Edition Version 8.4 publication library at

If you have an existing installation of IBM Classification Module for 
WebSphere Content Discovery Server Version 8.3, you can access the document
by clicking Start > Programs > IBM Classification Module for WebSphere Content Discovery 8.3 > 
Administrator's Guide.

To install the fix pack:

1) If you have an existing installation of IBM Classification Module for 
WebSphere Content Discovery Server Version 3.x or Version 8.3, uninstall the 
server and client components.

2) Download the ClassificationModule_8.3_patch_2.zip file.

3) Extract the ClassificationModule_8.3_patch_2.zip file to a temporary directory. 
When prompted, enter the first archive password that you received from support.

4) Extract the ClassificationModule_8.3_patch_2_protected.zip file to a temporary directory. 
When prompted, enter the second archive password that you received from support.

5) Run the Windows\Database\Setup.exe file to start the database setup program. If you 
have an existing installation of IBM Classification Module for 
WebSphere Content Discovery Server, you are prompted to select an existing database schema.

6) Run the Windows\Server\Setup.exe file to install the version 8.3 Fix Pack 2 server component.

7) Run the Windows\Client\Setup.exe file to install the version 8.3 Fix Pack 2 client component. 



PROBLEMS FIXED

This patch contains the following fixes: 

* 23639 - Server fails on non-US date-format SQL Server (APAR IC54203)

* 23640 - Server admin process can crash on exit (APAR IC53166)
