IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer Integration Edition
Interim Fix 008 - Improvements to Deployment and IMS Connectors
for IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer Integration Edition,
Version 5.0.1
This interim fix should be applied to WebSphere® Studio
Application Developer Integration Edition, Version 5.0.1, installed
either on Linux® or Windows.® It contains fixes that may
improve the deployment of your applications and the performance of
applications using an IMS Connector. The interim fix specifically
addresses the following areas:
- When you deploy an EAR file with a process containing a J2C
service derived from a COBOL or C application, it can terminate the
workbench. This interim fix corrects the problem. After applying this
interim fix, update your run-time environment by applying the fix found
on the WebSphere Application Server Support site as described in the
Prerequisite section.
- Deploying IMS Connector for Java 2.1.0.3 to WebSphere Application
Server eliminates userName, password, groupName and clientID from
consideration in methods used by WebSphere Application Server to
determine if a connection is suitable for reuse. This allows WebSphere
Application Server to reuse any connection in the pool for a particular
connection factory. This is appropriate since IMS Connector for Java
supports re-authentication.
