1.0 About this release

The IBM Information Server Plug-In for WebSphere Integration Developer provides the Information Service Activity, that enables you to discover and invoke operations on IBM Information Server and offers direct access to relational database management systems through full SQL support.

3.0 Known limitations, problems, and workarounds

  1. If you use an Oracle database management system as a data source against which you run SQL statements, special care must be taken when you model a process. Running data definition language (DDL) statements during process execution will lead to an exception if the data source JDBC driver is XA enabled. This situation can occur in the following cases:


    To avoid these situations, make sure that DDL statements are processed outside the process execution context, for example, in a separate script or when the process is installed.


  2. When you run an SQL statement against database tables and an SQL error is returned, check the SQL error code documentation of your underlying database using the SQL code and SQL state information included in the error message.


  3. If you want to use the Information Service Activity kind "Information server", you must have access to a running IBM Information Server.
