Portal Toolkit V5.0.2.2 Update Tool Installation Guide
This update tool upgrades the WebSphere Portal test environment version as follows:
- WebSphere Application Server (portal_base_v5): from V5.0.2.3 to V5.0.2.6
- WebSphere Portal (portal_v50): from V5.0.2.1 to V5.0.2.2
This tool supports Windows platforms only.

Follow these steps:
- Verify that one of the following products is installed:
- WebSphere Studio Application Developer V5.1.2
- WebSphere Studio Site Developer V5.1.2
- WebSphere Studio Enterprise Developer V5.1.2
- WebSphere Studio Application Developer-Integration Edition V5.1.1
- Verify that Portal Toolkit V5.0.2.2 or Portal Toolkit V5.0.2.3 is installed with the WebSphere Portal V5.0 test environment option.
- Verify that sufficient disk space is available, according to the following recommendations:
- Temporary location (%TEMP%): 500MB
- Test environment location (the drive where WebSphere Studio is installed): 1GB
- If you are running an external Web server, such as IBM HTTP Server, stop the Web server.
- Download the Portal
toolkit V5.0.2.2 Update Tool and extract the contents of updatePortalTestEnv5022.zip to the local drive.
- Download the following files to the WTE_setup directory, which exists in the directory where you extracted this update tool:
Follow these steps:
- Stop WebSphere Studio if it is running.
- Stop the HTTP server if it has been started.
- Run the following command:
updatePortalTestEnv5022.bat
Note:
The log is appended to WS_HOME\PortalToolkit\log\TkWpsInst.log, where WS_HOME is the directory where you installed WebSphere Studio.
