RFIDIC Hot Fix release notes:

This Hot Fix for RFID Information Center v1.1 is provided to GlaxoSmithKline 
to fix the specific issues mentioned below. These release notes contain details 
of what is provided in the Hot Fix, some instructions on installation, and 
what issues are resolved by the fix. 

Prerequisites:  

RFID Information Center v1.1 fix pack 3 (1.1.0.3) installed 
and all prerequisites mentioned in the RFID Information Center installation 
guide.

Contents:  

The hot fix consists of:

i.  An Enterprise Application (EAR) file containing the RFID Information 
Center UI code called 

com.ibm.rfidic.web.ui.ear
 
ii.  A JAR file containing the RFID Information Center messages called 

com.ibm.rfidic.messages.jar

Installation Instructions: 

The RFID Information Center UI application needs to be replaced with the application 
(EAR) provided in this hot fix. This means uninstalling the current application and 
replacing it with the new one. Follow these steps:

1.	Ensure no users are currently using the system
2.	Back up the current RFID Information Center UI application
a.	Login to the WAS Console using:
http://hostname:port/ibm/console
b.	Click Applications->Enterprise Applications in the left side tree
c.	Click the checkbox next to com.ibm.rfidic.web.uiEAR
d.	Click the Stop button
e.	Click the checkbox next to com.ibm.rfidic.web.uiEAR
f.	Click the Export button
g.	A page displays with a link to the exported application. Click the link and use the browser’s ‘save file’ dialog to save the application.

3.	Uninstall the current RFID Information Center UI application
a.	In the Enterprise Applications page of the WAS console, click the checkbox next to com.ibm.rfidic.web.uiEAR
b.	Click the Uninstall button
c.	Click OK in the page that is displayed.
d.	Save the changes after the application is uninstalled.

4.	Install the application file containing the hot fix
a.	In the Enterprise Applications page of the WAS console, click the ‘Install’ button
b.	Use the browse button to navigate to and select the .ear file provided with the fix and click Next
c.	Review default bindings and click Next
d.	Review installation options and click Next
e.	Review ‘Map modules to server and click Next
f.	Review resource references and click Next
g.	Review Web Modules info and click Next
h.	Specify security information for the GUI application and click Next
i.	Review the summary information and click Finish
j.	In the resulting page click, ‘save to master configuration’.
k.	Click Save in the resulting page.

5.	Start the newly installed application
a.	In the Enterprise Applications page of the WAS console, click the checkbox next to com.ibm.rfidic.web.uiEAR
b.	Click the Start button

6.	Install the messages JAR file
a.	Stop the WAS server using:
stopRFIDIC.sh  -components=WAS
b.	Back up the com.ibm.rfidic.messages.jar file from the $RFIDIC_HOME/lib directory
c.	Copy the com.ibm.rfidic.messages.jar file provided with the Hot Fix into the lib directory
d.	Start the WAS server using:
startRFIDIC.sh  -components=WAS
Changes

This Hot Fix contains the following changes: 

PMR 		- 30839 - Values in columns not visible in filter create page
APAR 		- JR30478 

The width of the control has been increased to accommodate larger attribute names

PMR 		- 30836 - Drop down list too small
APAR 		- JR30520 

The drop down list now appears in a regular size the second time the create query page is viewed

PMR 		- 26225 - Question marks appearing in data browser footer area
APAR		- JR30506 

The question marks no longer appear in the footer area of the data browser run query page.
 
PMR 		- 17335 - Cannot save object event 
APAR		- JR 30358 

A drop down list is now correctly displayed for all event attributes which have a vocabulary. Note: As a result of this change a message is displayed on the create query page alerting the user about any attribute whose vocabulary cannot be located or whose vocabulary is in error. Previously, the error was only visible when the drop down list was opened.
