Cause . . . . . : Factor 1 of the SUBST operation must be less than or equal to the length of the base operand specified in Factor 2. If a start position is specified after the colon in Factor 2, then the length of the base operand is the length of the Factor 2 base string minus the Factor 2 start position plus 1. If no start position is specified, then the length of the base operand is the length of the Factor 2 base string.
Recovery . . . : Specify a value in Factor 1 that is less than or equal to the length of the Factor 2 base operand. Compile again.
