Cause . . . . . : A hexadecimal literal must have a length that is a positive multiple of 2. That is, in the literal there must be an even number of hexadecimal digits between the apostrophes. A hexadecimal digit can be 0 - 9, a - f or A - F. The right-most digit of the literal is truncated.

Recovery . . . : Specify a valid hexadecimal literal. Compile again.
