Installing Message Service clients

This section describes how to install the Message Service clients provided for use with WebSphere ESB.

Why and when to perform this task

You can extend interaction between applications and WebSphere ESB by using the Message Service clients provided with WebSphere ESB:

The way you start the installation will vary depending on the type of installation you are using, for example CD install, fix pack. The details for each method are described in the topic Starting the installation. You can find further information about installing these Message Service clients on Linux or Windows in the sub-topics.

You can also install and use the J2EE client support from WebSphere Application Server, including Web services Client, EJB Client, and JMS Client. For information about installing J2EE client support, see Installing Application Client for WebSphere Application Server.
