There are various procedures you can use to install WebSphere ESB. As WebSphere ESB is built upon WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment, you might want to install WebSphere ESB on a clean machine, or on top of an existing installation of WebSphere Application Server. You might prefer to install the product with an interactive installation wizard interface or silently, using a response file. You might want to choose a complete install, with a default stand-alone server profile created for you, or a custom install, and later use the Profile wizard to create stand-alone, deployment manager, and custom profiles. You might only want to install additional features on an existing installation of WebSphere ESB or want to install a completely new installation to coexist with an existing one.
To install the National Language Version (NLV) of the product, you must first install the product from the appropriate CD or distribution media, and then install WebSphere ESB V6.0.1 Fix Pack 1 on top, following the instructions on the support pages at http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/wsesb/support/.
