Creating profiles silently

If you install WebSphere ESB silently, you probably also want to create a profile silently. To do this, you need to customize the template response file for the profile type you want to create. The installation program reads this file to determine profile creation option values during the silent install. You can also create additional profiles by using response files after initial installation.

Why and when to perform this task

Possible profile types are a stand-alone server profile, a deployment manager profile, and a custom profile. See the appropriate topic for instructions on how to customize and use the response files during and after product installation.
