HIPAA interpretation -------------------- Development and testing is based on IBM's interpretation of the official specifications available before release. It is the responsibility of each user to perform appropriate testing before placing any of the IBM WTX Pack for HIPAA EDI objects into a production environment. Post-installation instructions for UNIX execution platforms ----------------------------------------------------------- After installing the IBM WTX Pack for HIPAA EDI on a Windows workstation, perform the following steps for each UNIX execution platform prior to porting and executing the HIPAA X12 Compliance Check application on that platform. 1) Copy the UNIX shared library object for the HIPAA X12 structure validation utility, hcsvu.so or hcsvu.sl, from path install_dir\packs\hipaa\platform_support\OS (where OS indicates the aix, hp, or sun operating system folder) to install_dir/libs on the target machine. 2) Ensure that permissions on the shared library object are set for read, write, and execute. NOTE If the setup script in the IBM WTX installation directory is not run by the profile of the user, then the file hcsvu.sl/hcsvu.so should be copied to the location on the target machine that contains the compiled Compliance Check application maps. Post-installation instructions for z/OS execution platforms ---------------------------------------------------------- After installing the Pack for HIPAA EDI on a Windows workstation, perform the following steps for each z/OS execution platform prior to porting and executing the HIPAA X12 Compliance Check application on that platform. Below the directory in which the products are installed is a subdirectory named /dstx_install that contains the uninstall scripts. To remove the product or a component, execute the corresponding uninstall script (from a directory outside the /install_dir/directory) by providing the full path, similar to the following command: install_dir/dstx_install/item_to_be_removed.uninstall where install_dir is the directory in which IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender n.n was installed and item_to_be_removed is the component or product to be uninstalled. ===================================================================== 4.
