Integration Overview for Business Integration Connect Provides an overview of the interface used by backend applications to send and receive messages from Business Integration Connect. It describes:
  • The types of protocols and packaging that can be used to send and receive information
  • The transport-level headers that are added when Backend Integration packaging has been specified
  • File-based integration
  • Integration (over the HTTP or JMS transport protocol) with the WebSphere InterChange Server

Getting Started Describes the set of tasks you perform when using Business Integration Connect for the first time.

This book includes the following tasks:

User Guide for the Community Console Provides step-by-step instructions for performing tasks through the use of the Community Console.

This book provides Community Managers and Community Participants with the following information:

  • A definition of the types of users and the tasks that those users perform
  • Instructions for updating a participant profile as well as creating or updating users, groups, contacts, and addresses.
  •  A description of gateways and instruction about creating and editing them
  • A description of B2B capabilities and instructions about viewing or updating them
  • An explanation of certificates, with definitions of terminology, and instructions for managing certificates
  • An overview of the FTP transport protocol and instructions for setting up an FTP
  • Descriptions of event-based and volume-based alerts and instructions for managing alerts

Administrator Guide Provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and managing the Hub in a trading partner community. 

The book provides information for both Hub Admins and Operator Admins. For Hub Admins, the following information is provided:

  • Instructions on branding the console, establishing the password policy, and configuring permissions
  • Descriptions of and instructions for establishing targets, configuring document flow definitions, configuring validation maps, creating and editing XML formats, and managing event codes

  • Obtaining and uploading certificates
