The generic SKU business object is an IBM representation of a stockkeeping unit, an item that is stocked at a particular plant or location. This business object is used to verify that an SKU exists in the destination application, which can be an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application or a Supply Chain (SC) application.
Use this business object in conjunction with the other Supply Planning Input business objects (ScheduledReceipts, OnHandInventory, CustomerOrder, and TransferOrder) to obtain a complete view of the relevant SKU information.
