A failure in this component may cause the On Demand Router to fail to route appropriately, including a comp Description/symptom of problem: PK47052 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: This is a cumulative fix for various problems in the dynamic workload management component of WebSphere Extended Deployment 6.0.2. Problems in this component can cause the On Demand Router to route incorrectly to back-end application servers, such as failure to route or failure to preserve session affinity. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Extended Deployment 6.0.2 on WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 6.0.2 or 6.1. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This is a cumulative fix for the dynamic workload management component. A failure in this component may cause the On Demand Router to fail to route appropriately, including a complete failure or failure to route to the appropriate server. RECOMMENDATION: None This is a cumulative fix for the dynamic workload management component. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: Includes fixes for On Demand Router problems including failure to route and failure to keep session affinity. This supercedes APAR PK44903. This fix is being released for WebSphere Extended Deployment V6.0.2 over Network Deployment V6.0.2 as well as WebSphere Extended Deployment V6.0.2 over Network Deployment V6.1. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 6.0.2.1 and 6.1.0.1. It uses fixpacks and fixes as the location of the unpacked files. Customers must be at V6.0.2.2 or newer of the Update Installer. This can be checked by reviewing the level of the Update Installer in file /updateinstaller/version.txt. 1) Copy 6.0.2.0-WS-XD-IFPK47052.pak or 6.0.2.0-WS-WXD-IFPK47052.pak file directly to the maintenance directory. 2) Shutdown WebSphere Manually execute setupCmdLine.bat in Windows or . ./setupCmdLine.sh in Unix from the WebSphere instance that maintenance is being applied to. 3) Launch Update Installer 4) Enter the installation location of the WebSphere product you want to update. 5) Select the "Install maintenance package" operation. 6) Enter the file name of the maintenance package to install (PKxxxxx.pak file which was copied in the maintenance directory).
