Description/symptom of problem: PK43894 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: Source code may be exposed when a request is made for a JSP which is available based on file serving (e.g.: fileServingEnabled set to true in the associated ibm-web-ext.xml file). This apar is to replace the 5.0.2.18 version of the published Interim Fix for PK23475 which will not uninstall. LOCAL FIX: none PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server users who installed the 5.0.2.18 version of the Interim Fix for PK23475. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The update installer cannot uninstall the 5.0.2.18 version of the Interim Fix for PK23475. RECOMMENDATION: None When an attempt is made to uninstall the 5.0.2.18 version of the Interim Fix for PK23475 using the update installer, the update installer cannot find a record of the installed Interim Fix. Each Interim Fix includes a control file which provides information used by the update installer when installing and uninstalling a fix. A field in the control file provides a long description of the fix. The 5.0.2.18 version of the Interim Fix for PK23475 includes the string "true" in this description and the "'s cause a problem in the update installer uninstall process. A new version of the 5.0.2.18 version Interim Fix has been provided which does not include the problematic "'s in the associated control file.
