Description/symptom of problem: PM50738 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION:? LOCAL FIX:? PROBLEM SUMMARY:? USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Virtual Enterprise. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Dmgr periodically consumes a large amount of resources that results in the process becoming temporarily unresponsive. RECOMMENDATION: None During server start-up the XD Storage Service performs an unscoped look-up of the XDStorage mbean. In large environments these unscoped lookups can induce a significant amount of stress on the dmgr that results in degraded dmgr performance that can last for several minutes. PROBLEM CONCLUSION:? The XD Storage Service has been altered to properly scope lookups of the XDStorage mbean and staggering these requests during mass starts to avoid the stress this routine had previously caused on the dmgr. This fix will be included in the next available fix pack for WebSphere Virtual Enterprise.
