Download Description PK67725 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: This APAR is to fix Multi--Cluster Routing Policy (MCRP) load balancing. In particular, the weighted least outstanding request (WLOR) algorithm does not equitably distribute requests among the clusters specified by the MCRP policy. The algorithm will be adjusted to ensure a proper balance. LOCAL FIX: None PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM® WebSphere® Extended Deployment using an On-Demand Router PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On-Demand Router is not load balancing properly RECOMMENDATION: None When using a Multi-Cluster Routing Policy with WLOR (weighted least outstanding requests), one of the clusters receives many more requests than the other. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Pack 6.0.2.3 and 6.1.0.3. It uses fixpacks and fixes as the location of the unpacked files. Customers must be at V6.0.2.2 or newer of the Update Installer. This can be checked by reviewing the level of the Update Installer in file /updateinstaller/version.txt. 1) Copy PK67725.pak file directly to the maintenance directory 2) Shutdown WebSphere Manually execute setupCmdLine.bat in Windows or . ./setupCmdLine.sh in Unix from the WebSphere instance that maintenance is being applied to. 3) Launch Update Installer 4) Enter the installation location of the WebSphere product you want to update. 5) Select the "Install maintenance package" operation. 6) Enter the file name of the maintenance package to install (PK67725.pak file which was copied in the maintenance directory).
