Fix (APAR): PK35551 Status: Fix Release: 6.1.0.7,6.1.0.5,6.1.0.3,6.1.0.1,6.1 Operating System: AIX,HP-UX,Linux,Solaris,Windows Supersedes Fixes: CMVC Defect: 409102 Byte size of APAR: 13060 Date: 2007-05-24 Abstract: CWPMI0010W seen in deployment manager log and PMI metric names are blank in Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV). Description/symptom of problem: PK35551 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: Performance Monitoring Infrastructure (PMI) information for Object Grid is not visible in Tivoli Performance Viewer on WebSphere Application Server version 6.1. When WebSphere Extended Deployment version 6.0.2 is applied onto WebSphere Application Server version 6.1, the object grid statistics are not displayed in Tivoli Performance Viewer. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server version 6.1 users who use the custom Performance Monitoring Infrastructure (PMI) application. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CWPMI0010W seen in deployment manager log and PMI metric names are blank in Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV). RECOMMENDATION: None When using the PMI API to define custom metrics and when viewing these metrics in the Administrative Console using TPV on a deployment manager configuration, these metrics are not displayed. Empty fields are displayed even when valid PMI xml files and resources exist. When this occurs the CWPMI0010W error message is displayed in the deployment manager trace log. The problem occurred because the ModuleConfigParser was not loading the custom pmi application resources. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The code has been modified to properly load the files. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 6.1.0.11.
