This APAR fixes a problem with App sync task exceptions within the scope of Business calendar. It will no longer abort the node synchronization LOCAL FIX:? none PROBLEM SUMMARY:? USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Process Server 6.1.2.1 users who are planning to setup a clustered environment. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During the start of the clustered environment, some system applications, like AppScheduler, BPE Container, RemoteAL61, fail to start. A java.lang.NullPointerException related to com.ibm.wbiserver.calendar. appmgmt.CalendarAppModifiedSyncTask is logged in SystemOut.log. RECOMMENDATION: None CalendarAppModifiedSyncTask fails due to a defect. Its failure prevents other tasks from completing successfully, thus, causing other system applications to fail to start. PROBLEM CONCLUSION:? The defect in CalendarAppModifiedSyncTask is fixed. Furthermore, failure recovery mechanism is added to CalendarAppModifiedSyncTask such that other tasks can continue processing in the event of a failure. Applying this interim fix will resolve the issue. Directions to apply fix: Download and follow Update Installer installation instructions.
