LOCAL FIX:? - PROBLEM SUMMARY:? USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Process Server 6.1.2.0 users who apply fix pack 6.1.2.1. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If fix pack 6.1.2.1 is applied while there is a dmgr or custom profile, the installation of fix pack could only be partially successful. RECOMMENDATION: None The script to upgrade business space did not handle the profile which is not a stand alone type correctly. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: Follow the Steps to resolve the problem. Apply JR31038 on each node, then run WBIProfileUpgrade.ant manually as described below 1. If WbiProfileUpgrade.ant.log shows any errors in the deployment manager profile, On the deployment manager installation, change directories to and depending on your platform, run one of the following commands: On Windows: bin\ws_ant.bat -f util\WBIProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true On UNIX and Linux: bin/ws_ant.sh -f util/WBIProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true On i5/OS: bin/ws_ant -f util/WBIProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true Where is the name of the deployment manager profile. 2. If the log file WbiProfileUpgrade.ant.log indicates that an error occurred in a managed node profile , start the deployment manager first. This is necessary because the administration client must connect to the central configuration repository on the deployment manager to make the updates. Then, change directories to and depending on your platform, run one of the following commands: On Windows: bin\ws_ant.bat -f util\WBIProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true On UNIX and Linux: bin/ws_ant.sh -f util/WBIProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true On i5/OS: bin/ws_ant -f util/WBIProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true Where is the name of the managed node profile. If WebSphere administrative security is enabled, you must also supply the "-Duser= -Dpassword=" parameters where is a user ID from the user registry that has administration authority and is the password for that user ID. 3. Repeat steps 1 OR 2 based on type of profile (Deployment Manager profile/Managed profile) to upgrade all the profiles in the Network Deployment environment.
