Fix (APAR): JR29441 Status: Fix Release: 6.1.0.1 Operating System: AIX,HP-UX,i5/OS,Linux,Solaris,Windows Supersedes Fixes: CMVC Defect: JR29441 Byte size of APAR: 11092 Date: 2008-07-17 Abstract: When the customer deploys an application to WebSphere Process Server with a http server, a NullPointerException is thrown. Description/symptom of problem: JR29441 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: On WPS 6.1.0.0 and 6.1.0.1, when invoking a process with BPCExplorer, a NullPointerException in the ArtifactLoader is encountered. The issue looks the ArtifactLoader gets an inappropriate server member list, that is caused by webserver as a server member in deployment target. Test fix has been issued and works This may be same or related to APAR JR29250 LOCAL FIX: remove all web server targets at deployment time PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Process Server 6.1.0.x users PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the customer deploys an application to WebSphere Process Server with a http server, a NullPointerException is thrown. RECOMMENDATION: None The error is caused by the ArtifactLoader. It parses an incorrect HTTP server as an application server. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: Apply the interim fix to resolve the problem. Directions to apply fix: Download and follow Update Installer installation instructions. Directions to remove fix: NOTE: FIXES MUST BE REMOVED IN THE REVERSE ORDER IN WHICH THEY WERE APPLIED. DO NOT REMOVE A FIX UNLESS ALL FIXES APPLIED AFTER IT HAVE FIRST BEEN REMOVED.
