Description/symptom of problem: JR29388 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION:? This APAR is for defects related to SOAP-encoded arrays. Errors are thrown if code attempts to add simple types (such as string)to an array or assigning a list of simpletypes to an array. Some of these errors might be ClassCast Exceptions This APAR resolves this issue. An additional APAR will also be created for WID to enable the visual snippet editor to support this ability. LOCAL FIX:? The issues are not seen in version 6.1 of the product PROBLEM SUMMARY:? USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus 6.0.2.3 and 6.0.2.4 users. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ClassCastException gets thrown when using visual snippet "ADD ITEM TO SOAP-ENCODED ARRAY" to add Strings. RECOMMENDATION: None When the WSDL type is RPC-Encoded and visual snippet "ADD ITEM TO SOAP-ENCODED ARRAY" is used to add primitive types like strings, ClassCastException is thrown. This error happens when the string is XSD:string and does not happen with SOAP strings. PROBLEM CONCLUSION:? Applying the interim fix will resolve the issue or upgrade to WebSphere Process Server/ WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus 6.1.0.1.
