Description/symptom of problem: JR28484 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION:? Defect on federation on a WAS 61 profile to a WPS 61 DMGR, it is looking for a SCA component in a WAS profile which is a defect since WAS profiles have no SCA components. LOCAL FIX:? Workaround: Custmer assigned a dummytest value to the SCA_BUS_ID variable at cell scope and now he is able to federate his WAS profile to the WPS DMGR. PROBLEM SUMMARY:? USERS AFFECTED: Customers using WebSphere Process Server 6.1.0.0 and WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.13 DMgr profile. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The addNode fails when a 6.1.0.11 node is being added to a WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.13 deployment manager. RECOMMENDATION: None Federation of a WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.11 standalone profile to a WebSphere Process Server 6.1.0 and WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.13 DMGR profile is failing. PROBLEM CONCLUSION:? Variable SCA_BUS_ID is null for the case of WPS 6.1.0.0 and it was throwing a Null Pointer Exception when a WAS 6.1.0.11 profile is being added to a WPS 6.1.0.0 & WAS 6.1.0.13 DMgr Directions to apply fix: Download and follow Update Installer installation instructions. It is important that you perform a controlled and complete shutdown of the server to ensure that all transactions have completed, before installing the fix. 3) Run the UpdateInstaller and follow the prompts. 4) Restart WebSphere Process Server.
