Description/symptom of problem: JR27632 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: This APAR tracks a potential memory leak with WebSphere Process Server. The memory leak may potentially be identified by a growing HashMap within the com/ibm/ws/sca/internal/scdl/implManagedModuleImpl LOCAL FIX: Observe memory and proactively restart server to avoid an unexpected OutOfMemory crash. PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus 6.0.2 users. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Process Server crashes with OutOfMemoryError under stress load test. RECOMMENDATION: None When locateService() API of ServiceManager is used, the internal cache of Service Component Architecture (SCA) container leaks and eventually causes Process Server to crash with OutOfMemoryError. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: Apply this iFix for JR27632 to resolve the memory leak issue. Directions to apply fix: Before applying the iFix ensure that WebSphere Process Server 6.0.2.2 is installed on the system. Also download and follow Update Installer installation instructions.
