WebSphere Commerce provides you with several sample stores on which you can base your own store. Each store is designed to display the features found in today's top business sites. All sites or stores developed with WebSphere Commerce are an instance of one of the following supported business models: consumer direct, B2B direct, value chain.
The sample stores provided with WebSphere Commerce are the following:
- FashionFlow, an example of an online consumer direct store.
ToolTech, an example of an online B2B direct store.
- MiniFashion, an example of a minimal online consumer direct store.
- Commerce Plaza, an example of an online value chain reseller store.
- Commerce Hosting Hub (ISP and store directory), an example of an online partner hosting store, which is a variant of the demand chain business model
- Commerce Supplier Hub, an example of an online supplier store, which is a variant of the supply chain business model
Each sample store is packaged with WebSphere Commerce as a store archive, and as a result, no further installation is necessary. In order to create a store, simply publish the store archive.
Since store creation in WebSphere Commerce is based upon selecting a sample store archive and modifying it, all of the sample stores are designed to act as the basis for your store. The sample stores are based on a typical shopping flow. All sample store pages can be customized.
For store samples, see the WebSphere Commerce Sample Store Guide. For more information on how store archives work, as well as how to package your store as an archive, see the WebSphere Commerce Store Development Guide.
