This document describes how to install a downloaded version of Classic Data Architect, V9.1 Interim Fix 0004. This interim fix requires Fix Pack 3. If Fix Pack 3 isn't installed this interim fix will not show up in the available updates window.
If you disabled any product features through the Update Manager by clicking Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration, or by modifying feature.xml files, you must re-enable them before you install this fix pack.
Install the fix pack with the same user account that installed Classic Data Architect.
Restrictions:
To install the fix pack from a local copy of the update:
Start the Classic Data Architect Product Updater:
If you have a custom Linux desktop environment and cannot find the product updater on the desktop, you can open the updater from a command shell. If you have installed the updater in the default location, the command would be as follows:
bash:~$ /opt/ibm/wsclassic91/cda/updater/eclipse/rpu
Click Preferences > Update Sites.
Navigate to temp_dir\cda\policy_91_if0004.xml, where temp_dir is the location of the extracted interim fix.
Click OK.
Click Find Updates.
If your computer does not have Internet access, or cannot connect to the live IBM update server, a warning appears in the Classic Data Architect Product Updater that states that other update sites are not available. You can ignore this warning.
Select the checkbox next to Itermin Fix 0004 under IBM WebSphere Classic Data Architect.
Click Install Updates.
To accept the license agreement and continue the installation, click OK.
Depending on the speed of your computer processor and the amount of RAM in your computer, the update might take an extended period of time to install.
After the installation is complete, the Classic Data Architect Product Updater lists the installed updates on the Installed Products page.
Close the Classic Data Architect Product Updater.
Restart Classic Data Architect with the -clean option so that the changes are
picked up. For example: eclipse -clean.
