Installing the Classic Data Architect fix pack

This fix pack can be installed with the product updater directly from the update site. However, if the system where the Classic Data Architect is installed does not have Internet access, you can download this fix pack as a zip file and use the product updater to access the update locally.

Prerequisite

If you disabled any product features through the Update Manager by clicking Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration or by modifying feature.xml files, you must re-enable them before you install this fix pack.

Procedure

If you are using the product updater to install directly from the update site, continue with the instructions below. Otherwise, if you want to obtain the update to install from a local drive, download and extract the file from http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/websphere/cda/91/zips/cdafp1_9101.zip and follow the instructions in the file install_local_910.html.

  1. Exit Classic Data Architect if it's running.
  2. Log on to your system with the same user account used to install Classic Data Architect.
Restriction: On Windows operating systems, this account requires Administrator privileges. On Linux® operating systems, you must use the root user account.

Depending on the speed of your computer processor, the amount of RAM, and the speed of your Internet connection, the update might take an extended period of time to download and install.
