Performance Data Warehouse

Use this page to configure Performance Data Warehouse server on a server or cluster.

To view this page in the administrative console, do the following:

The Performance Data Warehouse component requires a service integration bus to provide messaging services. You need to select a server or cluster to provide these services.

You can select this server or cluster (sometimes referred to as a Local target configuration) or another server or cluster (sometimes referred to as a Remote target configuration) to provide the messaging services.

You create the database configuration for the Performance Data Warehouse by importing a database design document.

Enable Performance Data Warehouse

Select this check box to enable Performance Data Warehouse configuration parameters on this page.

By default, this check box is cleared.

If you are using a stand-alone server profile, or have previously configured Performance Data Warehouse support, the Enable Performance Data Warehouse check box is selected and the panel is read-only (configuration parameters can be viewed, but cannot be changed).

When you select Enable Performance Data Warehouse, each section of the panel becomes active so you can specify configuration settings and perform configuration operations.

Import database configuration

Use this portion of the panel to import a database design document that defines the database metadata definitions for Performance Data Warehouse. The database configuration for Performance Data Warehouse is part of the Process Center or Process Server database design document.

Note: The Process Center or Process Server database design document contains information about components other than Performance Data Warehouse. Only information for the Process Server or Process Center, along with Performance Data Warehouse will be used. Database configuration for components other than Process Center or Process Server and Performance Data Warehouse are not updated.

Database design file name

Select Browse to locate the database design document on your system or enter the path to the file in the text field.

Performance Data Warehouse Bus Member Location

Specifies the location / destination of the Performance Data Warehouse bus. The destinations can be the local deployment target or on a remote target. Use the On this deployment target and On a remote deployment target buttons in this panel to indicate the appropriate location.

Bus members are always hosted locally for stand-alone server profiles.

On this deployment target

Select this button if the Bus Member will be configured on this server or cluster.

On a remote deployment target

Select this button if the Bus Member will be configured on another server or cluster (not the server or cluster you are currently configuring).

If you select On a remote deployment target, use the associated drop-down list to specify the remote location you want to use. The drop-down list shows all deployment targets.
