APAR status Closed as documentation error. Error description And below is the update from the Fixpack release notes - note that the irective from there and the one you sent me are subtly different. I cut and pasted into our admin config directly from the FixPack 6 release notes - which obviously need corrected ftp://ftp.software.ibm. com/software/websphere/appserv/support/fixpacks/was40/fixpack6/d ocs/406RN.html Remove directories when the installedApps directory is a symbolic link (Defect PQ63523.RN) Some installations use a symbolic link for the installed enterprise application directory, <WAS_ROOT>/installedApps. A directive is added to specify that during the removal of an application, symbolic links should be followed when recursively deleting files. The new directive is com.ibm.ejs.adminServer.recursiveDeleteSymLink=true. =================================================== Note: Before activating this property, make sure that these links do not point to the directories that could cause harm to your system if they were removed when you use symbolic links for your enterprise application directories.
