APAR status Closed as program error. Error description JSPs that have numerals as a first value do not compile. This an known internal defect per TK/L3 and has been fixed in 4.0.2.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server 4.0.1 * * jsp developers creating jsp's that * * start with numbers. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Compilation failure for jsp file names * * that start with a number. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Jsp file names starting with a number fail to compile since the jsp compiler uses the jsp name to build the class file name. Since this is not a valid java class name, a compilation error occurs.Problem conclusion Modified the code to allow invalid java characters to be used in the first character of the jsp file name.Temporary fix Comments
