PQ62941: WAS 4.0.X AES ENABLING THE LOCATION SERVICE DAEMON (LSD) TO ALLOW A REMOTE CONNECTION TO WEBSPHERE

APAR status
Closed as documentation error.

Error description
Once you install WAS 4.0.x AEs, the LSD is defaulted to disabled
to enable the LSD on port 9000 the Info Center tells the
person to just check the enable box and restart WebSphere.
This does not work because a change to the "mode" parameter
needs to be changed from "NONE" to "PROVIDER" to allow remote
access the WebSphere. This is located is the server-cfg.xml
 file on the <locationServiceDaemin xmi:id="LocationServiceDeamo
n-1" enable="true" hostname="localhost" port="9000" mode="NONE"/
>
