APAR status Closed as program error. Error description After going to the app server Admin Console, selecting the environment button , then adding the path as a name/value pai in the environment editor, our values are not stored.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users changing * * the path with the LIBPATH or the LD_LIBRARY * * PATH. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When adding a new environment variable * * LIBPATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH, appserver * * fails to start, due to a SEGMENTATION * * violation caused in function * * GenerateAdditiveString in * * process_helper.c. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This is a problem in the ActiveEJBServerProcess code in how it sets up the java.library.path variable.Problem conclusion ActiveEJBServerProcess will be changed to incorporate any settings of the java.library.path variable made in the JVM Settings to this path. Right now if they set java.library.path in the JVM Settings panel, a full replace is done. This will cause other drivers to fail. So we need to detect if java.library.path is set in JVM settings and prepend it in the approriate place.Temporary fix Comments
