APAR status Closed as program error. Error description In WebSphere 4.0.3 we are noticing the problem as described by PQ67353.However, asPQ67353 is only written for 4.0.4,it cannot be applied.This PQ67353 is incorporated in Cumulative System Management fix,however the problem persists. .Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere V4 users on a Windows platform * * using the services panel for adminserver * * control. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When adminserver is started from the * * services panel after sometime the * * state is changed to stopped, even * * though the adminserver continues to * * run. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Applying this fix will cure the problem of * * a falsely signalled stoppage of adminserver. * **************************************************************** When the adminserver is started from the services panel and after it starts succesfully, the state in the panel should correpsond to the actual state of the adminserver. It was found that in Windows platforms that sometimes the state in the panel is changed to stopped, even though the adminserver continues to run fine. This fix cures this false signalling problem.Problem conclusion Changed the usage of timeout property when the start of the adminserver is tracked.Temporary fix The fix has been alrady tried as a part of debug/fix module sent earlier. The test fix is for double verification. In other words this is mor eof a test fix.Comments Test fix has been uploaded to pq99999 for customer to download and try. Will wait for 15 days for feedback. till January 30.
