PQ65696: WHEN CREATING A NEW SERVER GROUP, THE EJB WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT DOES NOT WORK UNTIL YOU RECYCLE THE ADMIN SERVER

 A fix is available

4.0.5: WebSphere Application Server Version 4.0 Fix Pack 5 (Version 4.0.5)

APAR status
Closed as documentation error.

Error description
After creating a new server group the ejb workload management
does not work. A server group information has an initialization
phase that only occurs when the admin server is started. This
cannot be triggered by anything else and will be fixed in a
later version of WebSphere 5.0. The solution is to recycle the
admin server to initialize the server group settings so the ejb
workload management works correctly.

Change the server group name to an existing, running

User Action: Restart the administrative server in the server
group
