![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description WAS v4.03 and IHS 1.3.19.2 on AIX.MAxClient value is reached in a short time because of busy http processes. These processes are not idle processes, they are active processes..Although these busy processes are seem to be worked , they are not doing anything with clients. Problem occurs only in WAN environment. Timeout value in httpd.conf is not seemed to be used by the processes.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All WebSphere Application Server users who * * use IHS/Apache webserver. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The timeout directive specified * * in the httpd.conf file was not being * * honored by the WAS plugins. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The timeout directive specified in the httpd.conf file was not being honored by the WAS plugins. Network problems could halt servlet processing indefinitely once enough of the webserver thread were blocking on IO between the webserver and the web browser due to the network problems.Problem conclusion Updated the plugins to honor the timeout directive. With this fix the plugins will only block on IO requests for as long as the Timeout directive is set in the httpd.conf.Temporary fix Comments
