APAR status Closed as duplicate of another APAR. Error description Environment: WebSphere Application Server Advance Edition (AE) 4.0.1 Description: When a user deploys a WAR file in WebSphere Application Server AE 4.0.1 that has security constraints configured, after enabling the Application Server security, attempting to access the secure resource pops up the login prompt. No valid (or invalid) user gets past the login prompt. The reason for this is that the role in the WAR module is pushed up to the application during install, but the change in the application deployment descriptor is not saved on the server side. This is also described in CMVC defect 110390.Local fix Problem summary Problem conclusion Temporary fix Comments there is already an efix under that APAR number.
