APAR status Closed as documentation error. Error description The error reported here occurs in AE, AES verions 4.0.0 and alt 4.0.1 of WebSphere Application Server. Although this shows up in the log, it is meaningless and harmless but is alarming and misleading while performing problem determination when Websphere is having trouble. . I would be nice to either handle the error or remove it from the activity.log. But for now let's make sure that everyone is aware so they don't spend time fixing a problem where there is no problem. . Here is the exception (error) that is generated in the activity.log whenever you start the AdminServer. . When you start the administrative server, WebSphere adds information on the following exception to the activity.log file: ... naming.NameNotFoundException: Name jdbc not found in context "local:". ... . The exception is harmless and you do not need to take any action to fix the problem.
