|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description 4.0.2 Uninstall instructions include invoking a WSCP script. However, if the installation uses a non-standard host port (e.g. when a second websphere configuration exists along with a configuration that already uses the default ports), then the wscp step fails to update the repository, but provides no error message or feedback of any kind.Local fix The InfoCenter, in section 6.6.0.2.2.2.2, explains how to configure the wscp.sh script to set the wscp.hostName variable to work with a non-standard host port. Following these instructions allows the wscp uninstall script to properly uninstall the repository changes.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server 4.0.2 Users, * * doing uninstall. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ds_fix_post_uninstall.tcl fails * * during uninstall if the DataSource is * * remote. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** ds_fix_post_uninstall.tcl fails during uninstall if the DataSource is remoteProblem conclusion During uninstall, while running wscp -f ds_fix_post_uninstall.tcl If the datasource is remote, property values wscp.hostName and wscp.hostPort can be modified to connect to remote node. These and other wscp properties can be specified either with -p option or in the property file .wscprc. Please refer to WebSphere InfoCenter section 6.6.0.2.2.2.2: Invoking and terminating wscp for more information.Temporary fix Comments
