![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Problem Summary With security enabled, it is not possible for a PMI client to access two nodes that are not in the same domain. When the login info is updated for the second node, the creation of the PmiClient object fails when a listNodes contacts the first node. Authentication then fails because the login info has changed.Local fix Temp fix has been provided by PMI developer. This APAR is opened for getting offical EFix.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users of PMI * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running PmiClient in multiple * * WebSphere domains, security * * authentication failed * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The DataCache used by PmiClient cached all the nodes in multiple WebSphere domains. Security authentication failed in multiple domains because PMI attempted to talk to nodes in a different domain.Problem conclusion DataCache will not cache nodes in other WebSphere domains. Therefore, each PmiClient object will only communicate with the nodes in the domain in which it is connected.Temporary fix Comments
