![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description After installing the Oct. 7, 2002 cumulative security efix on a 4.0.3 system, the customer hangs when trying to configure SSL between WebSphere and the LDAP server. If the customer removes the efix, the customer does not hang when configuring SSL for LDAP. There were no error messages in the trace files. This error was reported on a Solaris 8 machine.Local fix No local fix is available for this hang error.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server who have * * enabled security and configured LDAP over * * SSL. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Failure to configure SSL between * * WebSphere and LDAP. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** WebSphere fails to reload the SSL configuration from the repository during security configuration. This prevents the Security Center GUI from accessing LDAP to validate a user during LDAP configuraion which ultimately causes the new configuration to fail on update.Problem conclusion The SSL Configuration is now reloaded from the repository if configuration is changed.Temporary fix provided testing and tracing module to customer.Comments
