APAR status Closed as program error. Error description WAS 4.0 AEs, Sun/Solaris 5.8 and iPlanet 4.1.7. System coredumps when system is shut down.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All Solaris WebSphere Application Server * * users who use the iPlanet plugin. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the config directory of the server * * instance is writable by the user the * * webserver is running as the webserver * * will generate a core when shutdown. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Some unnecessary link flags were present in the Makefile that weren't compatible with the level of compiler used to compile iPlanet.Problem conclusion Removing the unnecessary link flags caused the server to not core dump at shutdown anymore.Temporary fix Comments
