|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
APAR status Closed as program error. Error description When IHS Server Side includes are used to access Websphere Components an error message is displayed on the resulting HTML page. The page displays correctly but an error message is printed. "error occurred while processing directive". . This is caused by the return code used by the WAS 4.0 plugin routine that executes while processing the HTTP response.Local fix No workaround existsProblem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server version 4.0 * * users who have IHS/Apache calling servlets * * via server-side include (SSI). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a servlet is invoked via SSI, an * * error message can be found at the end * * of the servlet content. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The plugin was returning the incorrect return code to IHS/Apache when the servlet was being invoked via SSI. As a result, the webserver would think the SSI call failed when it actually completed successfully.Problem conclusion Changed the plugin so that it returned the correct return code for requests invoked via SSI.Temporary fix Comments
