NMSV0609W error message received during WebSphere Application Server startup when binding JMS resource to the namespace
 Technote (FAQ)

Problem
Using WebSphere® Application Server 4.0.x, when a resource reference for a JMS resource (connection factory or destination) is defined, the JMS resource gets bound to the JNDI™ namespace during application server startup. However, the following error message might appear when starting the Application Server:

NMSV0609W: A Reference object looked up from the context "domainRoots/UnspecifiedDomainName/legacyRoot" with the name "jms/qcf" was sent to the JNDI Naming Manager and was returned unprocessed.

Cause
The MQSeries® MA88 Support Pac classes cannot be loaded by the Application Server.

Solution
Add com.ibm.mq.jar, com.ibm.mqjms.jar, jms.jar, and jta.jar to either the Application Server classpath or the WebSphere home/lib/ext directory.

When this is done, the MQSeries classes is loaded and the JMS resources are successfully bound to the namespace.
