What is WebSphere® Application Server,
Advanced Developer's Edition (AEd)? How does it compare to WebSphere
Application Server AEs (Single Server)? |

Solution |
WebSphere Application Server, Advanced
Developer's Editions can be downloaded from the Developer's Domain with a
timebomb, or can be purchased without timebomb:
http://submit.boulder.ibm.com/wsdd/downloads/
- Support is provided through the web for
60 days when it is downloaded from this site.
- Other support must be purchased when
AEd licenses are purchased.
Commonly referred to as WebSphere Application Server AEd, this is an image
that is functionally identical to WebSphere Application Server AEs (Single
Server). It is available to developers at a reduced cost.
All documentation (such as, Information Center and
Prerequisite page) for WebSphere Application Server AEs applies to AEd,
even though there is no mention of AEd in these locations.
WebSphere Studio Application Developer ships a copy of
AEs. |
