APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Description for the APAR - The Plugin Apache API needs clean up the file handles for the Plugin Trace files. This prevents a file handle leak on Apache gracefull restarts.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users on AIX * * who use IHS webserver AND use the * * "apachectl graceful" command * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When IHS users issue the * * "apachectl graceful" command the * * webserver is restarted but the file * * handle to the plugin log file is not * * cleaned up. This only occurs on * * AIX. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Without the efix customers should avoid * * using the "apache graceful" command if they * * are low on system resources. * **************************************************************** When IHS users issue the "apachectl graceful" command the webserver is restarted but the file handle to the plugin log file is not cleaned up.
