Sometimes a problem in the JIT compiler can cause the
Java™ virtual machine (JVM™), or application server, to crash. If analysis
of the core file (UNIX® platforms) or user.dmp file (Windows®
platforms) indicates the JIT Compiler as the cause, the following steps
can be taken to disable the JIT compiler:
Note: If you are not sure that the crash is caused by the JIT
compiler, open a Problem Management Record (PMR) with IBM Support to
analyze the core or user.dmp.
Advanced Edition
- In the administrative client, navigate to the application server and
select it.
- Click the JVM Settings tab.
- Click Advanced JVM Settings.
- Check the box disable JIT.
- Click OK.
- Click apply.
- Stop and start the Application Server.
Advanced Edition Single Server
- In the administrative client, expand your node and then expand the
application servers folder.
- Select the Application Server and expand it.
- Expand Process Definition.
- Select JVM Settings.
- Place a check mark next to disable JIT.
- Click OK.
- At the top of the administrative client, click Save to save the
changes to your configuration.
- Stop and start the Application Server.
