APAR status Closed as fixed if next. Error description On Linux 7.1 with WAS 4.01, when you do a custom install and don't select the plugin, according to the logs, the plugin gets installed anyways. Further investigation showed that the httpd.conf does not get configured, and at this point I don't know if the plugin modules are copied to the \WebSphere\AppServer\bin direcotry.Local fix Bypass: Use the silent installProblem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users on WebSphere Application Server * * Advanced and Single server editions on * * Unix based platforms. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WAS 4.0 install saying that a plugin * * is being installed and configured when * * a plugin was not chosen at all. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a custom install is performed and the user does not choose to install a plugin, the "Installed Options Selected" panel during the install still says that it is installing a plugin. And the install.log says that it is "Configuring plugin" when one wasn't even chosen to be configured.Problem conclusion Temporary fix Comments
