PQ50584: NORESOURCEEXCEPTION WITH ASSEMBLY TOOL.

APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
Customer made a mistake in the EJB class specified for one of
his Session ejbs. Instead of using the bean class for the
correct EJB, he specified the bean class for a different EJB.
When he changed the EJB class to the correct one and tried
to save the archive, he got the no resource for object exception
From customer:
(More specifically, I have a session EJB OwnerController and
for its EJB class I mistakenly provided the CounterOwnerBean
class instead of the OwnerControllerBean class. This was
leading to undefined method errors at generate deployed code
time. So in an attempt to correct the error I ran into a
NoResourceException problem.)
I think something in the tool is confused about the CounterOwner
class. That's the one that was orignally specified for the
OwnerControllerBean class. Now that I've corrected the EJB cla
field for the OwnerController session EJB, something is still
trying to archive the CounterOwner class.
I tried deleting the entire OwnerController session EJB and
redefining it. Now I get the same error for (OwnerController).
Local fix Problem summary
when he tried to save the archived EJB module. He orginally
created the EJB module then tried to go back and change one of
the ejbs and save it again. That is when he saw this error
occur.
Problem conclusion
build (q0124.08) however I tried, along with the AAT developers
, on later builds (I tried with a0131.02) and we could not
recreate the problem. Somewhere within the the builds something
got fix and took care of this problem. Development was unable
to determine what defect actually fixed the problem, it could be
a combination of a lot of things. A WAS AES GA refresh was is
due to be released soon, and this should fix the problem.
