PQ62479: PROBLEM WITH 4.0.X WAS XALAN.JAR, <XSL:ATTRIBUTE NAME="XML:LANG><XSL:ATTRIBUTE NAME="XML:LANG"> NO WORK WITHOUT NAMESPACE

Error description
There is a problem with the xalan.jar that is shipped with WAS
4.0  The Apache version of xalan.jar has the bug fix that the
customer is referring to. This web site:

has the details and some sample code that describes the problem:
"<xsl:attribute name="xml:lang"> doesn't work without namespace
attribute"
.
More detail is available from the PMR and the customer.
Local fix
The customer's workaround is to include the Apache xalan.jar in
the ear file or in WAS_HOME/lib/app

In 4.0.3 (and 4.0.1 and 4.0.2), the version of xalan.jar
which is provided with WebSphere has a problem.
<xsl:attribute name="xml:lang"> doesn't work without the
namespace attribute.

The next ptf will prereq a newer version of xalan.jar that
fixes this problem.
