Problem |
Often the Sun® JDK HotSpot compiler can
cause the Java™ virtual machine (JVM™), or application server, to crash on
Solaris™. Disabling the HotSpot compiler can provide a workaround to
stabilize the JVM or confirm if the problem is in HotSpot
compilation. |

Solution |
For releases of WebSphere® Application
Server V4.0:
- In the administrative client, navigate to the
application server and select it.
- Click the JVM
Settings tab.
- Click Advanced JVM
Settings.
- At Command Line
Arguments add -Xint.
- Click OK.
- Restart the Application Server
For releases of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 and
V5.1:
- In the administrative console, select
Application Servers >
NameOfAppServer > Process Definition > Java Virtual Machine >
Generic JVM arguments.
- Click Add: -Xint
- Click OK
and save the configuration change.
- Restart the Application Server
