Error description AdminServer does not recognize restarted appserver AdminServer does not recognize restarted appserverLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server 4.0.6 users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After an Application Server times * * out, it is restarted by the Admin * * Server but the Admin Server does not * * seem to recognize it is up. Either * * from a remote admin console or local * * wcsp ApplicationServer show, the * * status shows stopped. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The restarted application server does not have its current state set to RUNNING, which causes the admin server to think the application server is not started.Problem conclusion Improved the application server restart code to set the current state correctly so the admin server will recognize the restarted application server.Temporary fix A test fix is now available on PQ99999 site.Comments
