|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Client application uses the soap.jar that is shipped with WebSphere 4.0.X. The client application receives 2 cookies from the WebSphere Application Server. The SOAP API handling the client's http protocol returns only the second cookie to the WAS App Server on the following http request. The expected behavior was for the client to return all the cookies on each subsequent request.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All WebSphere Application Server 4.0 * * WebServices SOAP users of security. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SOAP Client engine forgets * * cookies and prevents the Server from * * maintaining the session. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A client-server session is not preserved across multiple requests and responses because the SOAP Client engine is not correctly preserving and handling multiple cookies from the Server.Problem conclusion The WebSphere SOAP binary prereq was fixed to remember all cookies, from multiple Set-cookie and Set-cookie1 statements, and from multiple cookies on a single Set-cookie(1) statement.Temporary fix Comments
