APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Customer has an application which depends upon a behavior which is in violation of the servlet 2.2 specification. This fix will allow a work-around such that issuing a sendRedirect after the response has been committed is allowed.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server OEM * * installations using PeopleSoft. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SendRedirect throws an * * IllegalStateException when user * * attempts to call sendRedirect multiple * * times. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THIS FIX TO ANY CUSTOMER * * OUTSIDE OF THIS OEM CUSTOMER. * **************************************************************** OEM customer requests workaround to resolve unexpected behavior with sendRedirect that worked for their application in a different application server. Since WebSphere is working according to the Servlet 2.2 specification, this fix is not to be distributed to customers that do not fall under this OEM agreement. This fix will be released for WebSphere 4.0.X with the understanding that the customer will rewrite their application to adhere to the specification in future WebSphere releases.Problem conclusion Created a system flag to allow the requested behavior for sendRedirect.Temporary fix Comments
