Configuring Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0.x to
present a warning before accepting cookies:
- Start the Internet Explorer browser.
- Click Tools on the tool bar,
- Click Internet Options to open dialog,
- Click Privacy tab.
- Click Advanced (see diagram).

- Select Override automatic cookie handling and Prompt for
"First -party Cookies" (see diagram):

- Click OK on the Advanced Privacy Settings and Internet Options
windows.
Configuring Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0.x to present a warning
before accepting cookies:
- Open browser.
- Click Tools on the tool bar,
- Select Internet Options from the menu, and click the
Security Tab (see diagram):

- Click Custom Level,
- Scroll down in the Settings window to the cookies area.
- Select the Prompt radio button for "Allow cookies that are
stored on your computer" and "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)" (see
diagram):

- Click OK on the Security Settings and the Internet Options
windows.
Configuring Netscape 4 to present a warning before accepting
cookies:
- Open a Netscape browser,
- Click Edit on the tool bar,
- Click Preferences in the Edit menu,
- Click Advanced in the Category window (see diagram):

- Configure the browser to warn before accepting cookies by selecting
Warn me before accepting a cookie (see diagram):

- Click OK in the Preferences window.
Configuring Netscape 6 and 7 to present a warning before accepting
cookies:
- Open a Netscape browser
- Click Edit on the tool bar,
- Click Preferences.
- Expand Privacy & Security in the Category window (see
diagram):

- Click Cookies,
- Select Ask me before storing a cookie (see diagram):

- Click OK on the Preferences window.
