Error description wscp scripting tool should return non-zero return code during application deployment if deployment process fails for any reason.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server V4.x users who * * deploy enterprise applications via wscp. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the enterprise application * * deployment fails and it is not * * successfully installed, for example, * * due to an OutOfMemory error, wscp * * still returns a successful return * * code. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** WSCP ignored errors occurring during application deployment and despite the fact that the application is not installed, a successful return code was still returned.Problem conclusion Modified the wscp code to catch errors occuring during enterprise application deployment, report the error, and return a non-zero return code to indicate an error has occurred.Temporary fix Comments
