APAR status Closed as program error. Error description customer want to customize the error page for ERROR 500 but IIS plugin does not reply ERROR 500 to client. Cust. is trying to call the snoop servlet when the default_server is stopped. they are getting browser error "server not Found or DNS Error . But if they are using the IHS instead of IIS they are getting "500 error" in the Browser. .Local fix Problem summary All WAS customers using IIS Webserver Customer attempts to access Snoop Servlet (or any servlet handled by WAS) before the appserver is started. Customer expects to receive an Error 500 page but instead receives DNS error. With other webservers (IHS, Domino, NS) if you do not send back a formal response a default page will be displayed based on the response return code. IIS requires that plugins and extensions return a response is received by the IIS webserver a DNS error page is displayed.Problem conclusion To fix this problem the plugin was modified to send back a formal 500 error response.Temporary fix Comments
