ADGU2009E Security Error: Either username/password is wrong or this user is not authorized to connect to admin server
 Technote (FAQ)

Problem
Attempts to access the administrative console with security enabled fail before the console is displayed. Running the command Adminclient.bat or Adminclient.sh returns message:

ADGU2009E Security Error: Either username/password is wrong or this user is not authorized to connect to admin server and the Admin Client does not come up.

When adminclient tracing is turned on the trace shows the following:

JSAS0200E: Attempt to establish a secure association at the target server failed. Check your userid/password to verify the correctness. Retry the operation after a few minutes. If the problem persists,
contact support for assistance. Authentication failed.
and
com.ibm.CORBA.iiop.ClientDelegate non_existent P=520730:O=0:CT
The following exception was logged
com.ibm.CORBA.iiop.ExceptionInterceptorsCalled minor code: 0
completed: Maybe

This problem can be seen when the Adminclient is connecting to either a remote or local AdminServer.

Cause
On the system where the adminclient command is being run, the sas.client.props file contains the incorrect userid or password for example:
com.ibm.CORBA.securityEnabled=true
com.ibm.CORBA.loginUserid=
com.ibm.CORBA.loginPassword=
The login source is set to properties:
com.ibm.CORBA.loginSource=properties

The userid and password could be set incorrectly if the
adminclient is normally used to connect to a different adminserver.

Solution
You can resolve this problem by editing the sas.client.props file as shown below:

Edit Install_Root /properties/sas.client.props and change the following from:

com.ibm.CORBA.loginSource=properties
to
com.ibm.CORBA.loginSource=prompt

You will now be prompted for the userid and password.

Another option is to change the userid and/or password to be correct for the adminserver. The password needs to be entered in encoded form. To encode the password follow the instructions in the following technote, How to Encode Passwords in WebSphere Application Server Properties Files, Follow the link below:
