Problem |
If the EAR install path differs for the nodes in the
Server Group, the JSP batch compiler may fail. |
|
Solution |
This problem may occur whenever the fully qualified path
of the installed EAR differs between nodes in a Server Group.
This situation may occur for different reasons:
- The WebSphere® installed path is different between nodes in a Server
Group.
- An EAR installed directory name is different between the clones of the
various nodes in the Server Group.
Both problems can be handled by applying PQ67354 on top of WebSphere
Fixpack 4.0.4 or 4.0.5.
For fixpacks prior to 4.0.4, the following steps describe how to handle
this situation:
- When the WebSphere installed path is different, you must
reinstall WebSphere using the same install path for each node in the
Server Group.
- When the EAR is installed with different directory names,
you make the directory name the same on all nodes in the Server
Group.
You can do this by following these steps:
- Stop the Server Groups/clones/Enterprise Applications.
- Export the full XML config.
- Remove the EAR.
- Modify the XML config to make the
<ear-install-directory> name the same for all nodes in the
Server Group.
- Import the XML config.
- Copy the EAR from <WAS install>/installedApps directory
to the installedApps directory on each node in the Server
Group.
When the directory names are the same you will be able to execute the
JspBatchCompiler script. |
