WebSphere Application Server V4.0.2 security fails after a period of time due to excessive file handles being opened for wsserver.key.

Security fails after a period of time. The exception as follows:

JSAS0240E: Login failed. Verify the userid/password is correct.
SecurityColla A SECJ0053E: Authorization failed for /root while invoking (Home)demoUser findByPrimaryKey(com.ibm.commerce.user.objects.Member Key):0 securityName: /root;accessID: /root is not granted any of the required roles:
WCSecurityRole ExceptionUtil X CNTR0019E:
Non-application exception occurred while processing method findByPrimaryKey: com.ibm.websphere.csi.CSIException

This is caused by excessive file handles being opened for install_root/etc/wsserver.key and never closing them resulting in various errors indicating that files cannot be opened because no more file handlers are available.
