To resolve the problem, download the SequeLink 5.2 JDBC
Driver or the latest build of the Connect 2.2 JDBC Driver from the
WebSphere Application Server support Web site.
The existing JDBC driver jar files must be replaced by the new jar
files or the exception will continue to occur. The JDBC driver jar files
are located in the WebSphere root/lib directory. The jar files as
as follows:
For the SequeLink driver:

- base.jar
- spy.jar
- sqlserver.jar
- util.jar
Note: The WebSphere 4.0.4 Release Notes contain this statement:
"If you are upgrading to WebSphere Application Server Version 4.0.4 and
you use DataDirect (formerly Merant) drivers to connect to backend
databases, you need to upgrade to the latest version of these drivers. See
the IBM support site for more information."
