![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description When installing ONLY the AdminConsole, the IkenMan icon is added to the WebSphere program folder, but if you click on the "Ikey Man, nothing happens.Local fix Looking at the icon properties, you'll see that Ikeyman.bat should be started. Certain scripts which are set in the class path and finally launch the ikeyman.class jar file All JARs are present, but the batch file is missing. If you copy ikeyman.bat into websphere\appserver\bin, ikeyman will start.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server Advanced and * * Single Server edition users that install * * only the "Application and Development Tools" * * component from the base WebSphere * * installation. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On an "Application and Development * * Tools" only installation the * * ikeyman.bat(.sh) file is not installed. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The base installation of WebSphere fails to install the ikeyman.bat (.sh) file on a "Application and Development Tools" only installation. Therefore the user is not able to start the ikeyman utility because the batch file (or script) is missing.Problem conclusion The PTF installation was modified to install the ikeyman.bat (.sh) file on an "Application and Development Tools" only installation. This file was normally meant to be installed any time the Application Server was installed. There are other files that were not installed during a "tools only" installation that should have. showlog.bat(on Unix, the script name is showlog), clientConfig.bat(.sh) and appclient.jar will now be installed during a PTF installation.Temporary fix Comments
