Is received when a portlet application creates custom taglibs and needs to use another xml parser (crimson parser) instead of the one shipped with websphere. The crimson parser is packaged within the portlet application war web-inf/lib. The JSP processor is trying to use the crimson parser to load the tag library descriptors. Instead of the xerces parser gets bundled with websphere.Local fix Problem summary Problem conclusion Temporary fix Comments APAR was opened because the original customer problem description was similar to an issue that was corrected in WebSphere 5.0. WebSphere support was unable to reproduce the problem in the test lab and requested customer to apply the latest WebSphere fixpack and Portal Server fixpack. Once these two fixpacks were applied in customer's test environment, the problem could not be reproduced. If the problem symptom is seen, work with support to get the appropriate documentation for a new APAR.
