This problem can be resolved using the following
steps:
- Download enroll file from the links below into a
temporary directory.
- Unzip enroll.zip for Windows or enroll.tar for
Linux file in the '<install_root>\setup' directory, where
<install_root> directory is where WebSphere Studio Application
Developer is installed.
- If prompted to overwrite the existing enroll.exe file, go ahead and
click yes
to overwrite. Execute the new
enroll.exe file in the 'setup'
directory and start WebSphere Studio.
- If this step fails to work,
please check if the license has been enrolled or not.
Steps to check if the license
has been enrolled during installation
- Open the following file with
nodepad: %TEMP%\postinstall.log
you should see one of the following
message:
You are still using Try and Buy
License.
The product will expire in 53
day(s).
or
You have just enrolled your Try
and Buy License.
The product will expire in 59
day(s).
- If no, please open command
prompt, cd <WSAD Install Dir>\setup\, and execute enroll.exe.
It should show message similar to
that in step 1.
- Try to run the WebSphere Studio
Application Developer trial again. If it still does not work, enroll
license with the debug version should be enrolled. To enroll license with
debug version follow step 2 below.
Step 2: Enroll license again
with debug version of the WebSphere Studio Application
Developer
- Unzip enroll_v1.1.zip
- Execute enroll_wsad_v1.1.exe
using command prompt
