****************************************************************
"Illegal use of 1PC resource in transaction" errors received
during WebSphere Commerce Suite initialization. This issue
may be seen on initialization or during runtime of any
application server if EJBs which use data sources have been
deployed.

The problem was caused by new EJB calls which were made,
necessarily, in a non-standard manner which implicitly
involved the calls in any existing transactions.
Problem conclusion
The problem was resolved by explicitly suspending and resuming
any existing transaction.
Temporary fix
A test fix was supplied.
