![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Customer is trying to rollout modified scripts that use duplicat ports. ustomers previuos scripts required different ports.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All WebSphere Application Server 4.0x users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For a particular app server, user * * specifies a specific port to be used * * for HTTP transport in the Web * * Container Service panel but this is * * overridden by WebSphere. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If the user specifies a specific port in the Web Container Service panel of an application server and that port has already been specified, then the administrative server will detect this and replace the port with an unused port #. This might not be desirable in the situation where the end users want to intentionlly specify the duplicate port number.Problem conclusion Code was changed to not override the specified port number.Temporary fix Test fix sent to L2 on 03May02.Comments
