Problem
MustGather for Xalan or Xerces problems with the WebSphere® Application Server Web services component. Gathering this information before calling IBM support will help familiarize you with the troubleshooting process and save you time.

Xalan and Xerces specific MustGather information
  1. What version of Xalan or Xerces are you using? To collect the version, you can run the following:
    • For Xerces,

      install_root/java/jre/bin/java -cp path/xerces.jar org.apache.xerces.impl.Version

      Returns =>
      XML4J 4.0.12

    • For Xalan,

      install_root/java/jre/bin/java -cp path/xalan.jar org.apache.xalan.Version

      Returns =>
      LotusXSL Java 2.3.10

  2. Is the version of Xalan or Xerces you are using the one that was shipped with the version of WebSphere Application Server you are using?

  3. Describe specifics of the way you are using Xalan or Xerces, and the exceptions you are seeing.

  4. Provide the XML file you are trying to parse with Xalan or Xerces.

  5. Follow instructions to send diagnostic information to IBM support.
