APAR status Closed as documentation error. Error description Websphere Application Server V4.0 InfoCenter Confusing information in WAS InfoCenter V4.0 when trying to enable co-existing versions of the Websphere Application Server URL is http://www-4.ibm.com/software/webservers/appserv/doc/v40/ ae/infocenter/was/was402/rncoexist.html AND Migration Guide pdf file - Section 3.2.4: Migrating Web server plug-ins has references to 3.x for example which is confusing URL is http://www-4.ibm.com/software/webservers/appserv/doc/v40/ ae/infocenter/was/pdf/nav_Migrguide.pdf All titles to the different coexist documents state WAS 3.5.x and V4.0.x but then in the text of the documents it states must use WAS 3.5.5 or 4.0.2 These sections should be changed to reflect the correct WAS versions that work since not all versions of Websphere Application Server will work or are supported. The documentation shouldn't be specific in some places and generic in others.Problem conclusion The release notes for 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 will have a link to a co-existence file that will have the correct information regarding the various supported configurations.Temporary fix Comments
