UNIX user can only access files in its primary group, not secoundary groups
 Technote (FAQ)

Problem
When WebSphere is run as a UNIX user, it can only access files owned by the users primary group, and gets an error when trying to access files owned by a secondary group of the user:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: (The file access permissions do
not allow the specified action.)

The documentation to run as a non-root user doesn't explicitly say this, even though it is working as designed.

Solution
When Application Server is run as a UNIX user, it can only access files owned by the users or users primary group.
