The defect is 118248Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users of * * CmpOPT, or users trying to run the ECPerf * * benchmark on WebSphere * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users running the ECPerf benchmark may * * observe poor performance in WebSphere * * 4.0.X * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** CmpOPT addresses a performance problem in WebSphere 4.0.X. This problem is most observable when running the ECPerf benchmark. The CmpOPT tool optimizes the access intents for CMP fields in the deployment descriptors for CMP entity beans. This tool is broken in PTF2 and did not ship at all with WebSphere 4.0.1Problem conclusion This efix will install a working version of CmpOPT on WebSphere 4.0.X.Temporary fix Comments
