![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Problem Description: We have been migratiing away from WSCP and using XMLConfig due to Repository Corruption issues and IBM recommendations. Unfortunately using XMLConfig's -regenPlugIn option requires that the person executing the command have write access to the plugin-config.xml file. Using WSCP via Node regenplugin /Node:xxx/ doesn't require this. Again, we'd like to eliminate WSCP altogether, is there a workaround or fix in the works o eliminate this problem?Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of XMLConfig for WebSphere * * Application Server release 4.0.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Make XMLConfig to delegate generation * * of plugin configuration task to admin * * server. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If XMLConfig is run remotely, it always generates the plugin file on the machine from where it is run, but instead it should be generating this file on the requested node.Problem conclusion The issue is fixed by making XMLConfig have the admin server to generate the plugin file.
