PQ62563: EAPI APACHE PLUGIN NEEDED FOR SLES L/390 (4.0.3) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

APAR status Closed as documentation error. Error description Our team is currently involved in testing 4.03 on SuSE SLES Linux 390. This testing is being done concurrently with the 4.04 release, as the customer who needs 4.03 on SLES 390 needs it before the release of 4.04. Basically, we need Apache EAPI plugin support to be rolled into testing, ran into the problem that the Apache (1.3.19) supplied with SLES 7.0 390 is EAPI compiled, and SLES lacks all the necessary libraries to recompile Apache without EAPI support, so there is no good way to get a NON_EAPI enabled Apache on SuSE SLES 7.0. So, we need to be able to support EAPI compiled Apache (specifically the one provided with SLES). Note: We tried pulling in the 4.04 EAPI plugin for L/390, and it generated a seg-faulted.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users: * * The Apache (1.3.19) supplied with SLES * * 7.0 390 is EAPI compiled, and SLES lacks * * all the necessary libraries to recompile * * Apache without EAPI support.
