PQ59650: PROBLEMS WITH XML IMPORT ALWAYS ENABLING THE "USE GLOBAL SSL DEFAULT CONFIGURATION"! WHICH IS OVERIDING THE USER DEFINED SETTING | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
APAR status Closed as program error. Error description SSL settings can be set for both the global default (in the security center) and for specific orbs and https transports. The orbs and https transports have an extra option "Use global SSL default configuration" in the admin console, which causes the global defaults to override the specific settings. XMLConfig, whilst allowing each orb and https transport to have its own SSL settings, always enables "Use global SSL default configuration"! The XMLConfig dtd has the element <ssl-config> for giving the SSL parameters, but no option exists for this flag.Local fix Customer name:Adam Clarricoates Phone number:+44 (0)20 7568 3852, +44 (0)20 7568 3852 Country:866 - United KingdomProblem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All XMLConfig users of WebSphere * * Application Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: XMLConfig DTD/XML does not contain * * enable global defaults element for * * ssl configuration. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** XMLConfig DTD Does not contain enable global defaults element for ssl configuration.Problem conclusion SSL Config and XMLConfig DTD fixed to solve the problem.Temporary fix Comments
