Error description Customer ran Resource Analyzer on his WAS 4.0.3 system and got the following exception: resource analyzer: java.rmi.MarshalException: CORBA MARSHAL 0 No; nested exception org.omg.CORBA.MARSHAL: Unable to read value from underlying brid Unable to read value from underlying bridge : com.ibm.ws.pmi.server.DataDescriptor; IllegalAccessException minor code: 0 completed: No at com.ibm.rmi.iiop.CDRInputStream.read_valueLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users of a * * remote Resource Analyzer * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running remotely, RA throws Java * * marshall exception * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Unable to run RA remotely due to marshal exception from ORB. Marshal Exception is caused to due to IllegalAccessException on com.ibm.ws.pmi.server.DataDescriptor class (part of pmi component).Problem conclusion The IllegalAccessException is thrown by ORB when it is not able to load a class using the default constructor. A default no-arg constructor is added to com.ibm.ws.pmi.server. DataDescriptor class. Problem fixed in defect 118311.Temporary fix Comments
