The following instructions are provided for the installation of WebSphere Application Server V6.0 cheat sheets:


1.  Stop WebSphere Application Server. 
2.  Verify that the java directory is set in the PATH environment variable. 
3.  Run the following command to start the installation, where <WAS_HOME> is the location of the WebSphere Application Server home directory, for example C:\WebSphere\AppServer: 

	java -jar cheatSheetInstall.jar <WAS_HOME> 

The installation is noninteractive as it installs the files and updates the plugin.xml files for the applicable components. The following messages are displayed when the installation is complete: 

Oct 21, 2004 10:13:01 AM CheatSheetInstall main INFO: Installation of cheat sheets complete. 
Oct 21, 2004 10:13:01 AM CheatSheetInstall main INFO: There were 0 problems found during installation. 

If problems occur during installation, the following messages are displayed:

Oct 21, 2004 10:13:01 AM CheatSheetInstall main INFO: Installation of cheat sheets complete. 
Oct 21, 2004 10:13:01 AM CheatSheetInstall main INFO: There were 2 problems found during installation. 
Oct 21, 2004 10:3:01 AM CheatSheetInstall main INFO: Please view the CheatSheetInstall.log for details. 

The CheatSheetInstall.log file is produced in the same location as the CheatSheetInstall.jar file.

4.  After the installation is complete, start WebSphere Application Server and log into the administrative console. The list of cheat sheets is displayed on the Welcome page under the Common Administrative Tasks section.

You are now ready and able to use the cheat sheets for WebSphere Application Server V6.0.
