eFix (APAR): pq56250 Status: eFix For Release: WebSphere 3.5.4, 3.5.5 For Operating System: All Supercedes eFixes: none Prerequisite eFixes: CMVC defect: PQ56250 Byte size of APAR: 30,647 bytes Date: 01/08/02 Abstract: P/W CHANGE WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE UNLESS DELETE TRANLOG Symptoms of problem: on was v3.54 with udb v7.2 system, even if user changed p/w for db user, it will not be effective on was system. old p/w still be holded. this problem can be recreated with single machine (was and udb on same machine) also. to resolve it, user need to delete tranlog. NOTE: Directions to apply efix: 1) Create "efix" directory to store the efix jar file(s): AIX: /usr/WebSphere/AppServer/efix Solaris/Linux: /opt/WebSphere/AppServer/efix Windows: c:\WebSphere\AppServer\efix 2) Copy pq56250.355.jar to the directory 3) Add the directory/jar file to the beginning of the admin server's classpath in admin.config: com.ibm.ejs.sm.adminserver.classpath=C:/WebSphere/AppServer/efix/PQ56250.355.jar... 4) Stop and restart the Admin Server
