eFix (APAR): PQ52815 Status: efix For Release: WebSphere 4.01 For Operating System: Solaris only Supercedes eFixes: N/A CMVC defect: Byte size of APAR: 962,679 Date: 11/02/01 Abstract: iPlanet/Domino plugin with SSL on Solaris doesn't work Description/sypmtom of problem: - Configuring the plugin for SSL is not possible on Solaris with iPlanet and Domino because the GSK5 doesn't support applications compiled with Sun Workshop 4.2 C++ compiler. This fix also contains the changes for PQ51900. DIRECTIONS TO APPLY EFIX: Part 1: 1) Stop the Web Server(s). 2) Save off the old version of libns41_http.so file in WAS_HOME/bin 3) Save off the old version of libdomino5_http.so file in WAS_HOME/bin 4) Issue the command java -jar PQ52815_eFix_AEServer_AEsServer.jar -target If the customer has NOT installed the Full version of WebSphere Application Server on the machine(i.e. Chose the Custom install with only the plugins selected) then you must use the '-skipContainerCheck -updatexml no -dupcheck no' options for the eFix to install properly. It is also required that you copy the product.xml file over to the webserver machine in the WAS_ROOT/properties/com/ibm/websphere directory. 5) Install the GSK4 package using admintool. a) Uncompress/Untar the GSK4 package. b) Start admintool. c) Click on the Browse->Software menu. d) Click on the Edit->Add menu. e) Specify the path to the location that you performed step a in. f) Follow the directions on the screen. 6) Consult the documentation for configuring SSL in both the plugin and the application server. 7) Restart the web server(s) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Notes on configuration parameters: ---------------------------------- NONE The following files are included in the fix: -------------------------------------------- libdomino5_http.so libns41_http.so
