Fix (APAR): PQ99478 Status: Fix Release: 5.1.0.5 Operating System: All Supersedes Fixes: CMVC Defect: PQ99478 Byte size of APAR: 46328 Date: 2005-01-19 Abstract: JspBatchCompiler does not use autoResponseEncoding in ibm extention Description/symptom of problem: autoResponseEncoding=true enables appserver to detect adaptive ResponseEncoding for DBCS user and it is an IBM extention. The problem is that JspBatchCompiler fail to pick the flag up from webmodule/serverconfig. If JSP doesn't have page directive to fix the encode type, then JSP is compiled into servlet with default charset=ISO-8859-1. This will cause the jsp produce gabage characters in the response in a DBCS environemnt. Directions to apply fix: NOTE: YOU MUST FIRST DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE INSTALLER TOOL IN ORDER TO INSTALL A FIX.
