Fix (APAR): PQ97288 Status: Fix Release: 5.1.0 Operating System: Windows,AIX Supersedes Fixes: CMVC Defect: PQ97288 Byte size of APAR: 158530381 Date: 2004-12-03 Abstract: APAR TO REQUEST SDK IFIX - 1.4.1 SR2B + 75855 + 77559 + 76932 + 76883 + 75119 + 79857 Description/symptom of problem: Customer is running WebSphere 5.1.0.1 with Java fullversion J2RE 1.4.1 IBM Windows 32 build ca1411sr2b-20040520. Operating system is AIX 5.2. Customer requires the following defects applied to SR2B: 75885 fix for intermittent CORBA NO MEMORY errors 76932 for Typecode indirection problems 77559 to solve the additional proxy problems 76883 for Mismatched Serial version UID 75119 to add -Xp,-Xk functionality 79857 JIT memory leak resolution The Ifix is required for the AIX and Windows operating system platforms. Customer was experiencing several ORB issues with their application. These issues were resolved by SOV defects 75885, 76932, 77559, and 76883. Subsequently, the application began to experience out of memory issues resulting from heap fragmentation. SOV defect 75119 is needed to add -Xp and _Xk functionality to the JDK. Finally, a memory leak was detected. The cause of the leak was traced to a defect in the Just In Time (JIT) compiler. SOV defect 79857 is needed in this Ifix to address the leak.
