Fix (APAR): PQ96910 Status: Fix Release: 5.1.1 Operating System: Linux Intel Supersedes Fixes: PQ97449 CMVC Defect: PQ96910 Byte size of APAR: 108642411 Date: 2004-12-10 Abstract: NATIVE THREADS HANG IN _LIBTHREADHARDSUSPEND Description/symptom of problem: Java does not handle threads of type native.This native thread is the one which is hanging.This happens because when _hpiThreadHardSuspend is called over the threads , since the native thread is not handled by JVM, it remains in suspension state and hence does not receive the exit status of the child process and the wait system blocks for ever. Directions to apply fix: NOTE: YOU MUST FIRST DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE INSTALLER TOOL IN ORDER TO INSTALL A FIX.
