Description/symptom of problem: 1) Symptom: -------- The problem occurs when running multiple process instances with correlation sets with parallel users. Some of the instance creation request end in a transaction timeout. 2) Problem: -------- The instance locator component that resolved the process instances uses synchronized methods and they hold a database connection. This constellation lead to deadlocks. 3) Solution: --------- Replacing the synchronized methods and rewriting the use of member variables solved this problem.
