Fix (APAR): PQ80880 Status: Fix Release: 5.1.0 Operating System: All Supersedes Fixes: CMVC Defect: PQ80880 Byte size of APAR: 4661274 Date: 2003-12-12 Abstract: Non-Latin characters in filter and handler names in the Web Services Gateway will not display correctly Description/symptom of problem: When you deploy a filter or deploy a JAX-RPC handler to the Web Services Gateway (wsgw), you can only use Latin characters in the filter name or handler name. This fix also corrects the following APARs: PQ80881, PQ80882, PQ80883, PQ81365 Directions to apply fix: This fix can only be applied to WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment and not to WebSphere Application Server Base NOTE: YOU MUST FIRST DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE INSTALLER TOOL IN ORDER TO INSTALL A FIX. The Update Installer can be downloaded from the following link: http://www-3.ibm.com/software/webservers/appserv/support/index.html 1) Create temporary "fix" directory to store the jar file: UNIX: /tmp/WebSphere/fix Windows: c:\temp\WebSphere\fix 2) Copy jar file to the directory 3) Follow the Fix installation instructions that are packaged with the Update Installer on how to install the Fix. 4) The Application EAR files will have been copied to the installableApps directory of Network Deployment 5) The temp directory may now be removed. 6) The above procedure does not update any copies of wsgw that have previously been installed using the instructions in the Info Centre. It is now necessary to replace the installed Web Services Gateway applications using the instructions in the Info Centre. Follow the instructions for Backing up and Restoring a Gateway Configuration to back up the data Replace the installed applications by following the instuctions for Web Services Gateway - completing the installation Follow the instructions for Backing up and Restoring a Gateway Configuration to restore the data to the new gateway Directions to remove fix: NOTE: FIXES MUST BE REMOVED IN THE ORDER THEY WERE APPLIED. DO NOT REMOVE AN FIX UNLESS ALL FIXES APPLIED AFTER IT HAVE FIRST BEEN REMOVED. YOU MAY REAPPLY ANY REMOVED FIX. Example: If your system has fix1, fix2, and fix3 applied in that order and fix2 is to be removed, fix3 must be removed first, fix2 removed, and fix3 re-applied. Removing the fix removes the Application EAR files from the installableApps directory of Network Deployment and replaces them with the previous versions.
