Fix (APAR): PQ77134 Status: Fix Release: 5.0.2 Operating System: Unix (General) Supersedes Fixes: None Byte size of APAR: 9776 Date: 2003-08-12 Abstract: Application with symbolic links causes an exception Description/symptom of problem: A regression had been introduced with a fix for a previously reported problem with double file separators in configuration files. The fix for that problem was to canonicalize the file path before opening modules. Canonicalizing the path causes symbolic links to fail. The fix for this is not to use canonical paths in the case of symbolic links. This problem affects users who use symbolic links in their pre-deployed applications.
