PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Performing a save operation after uninstalling an application throws a NullPointerException. RECOMMENDATION: None After uninstalling an application, attempting to save changes causes a NullPointerException to be thrown. During a save operation for application related files, the name of the application is retrieved from the URI of the changed files. Application delta file URIs will have a ".ear" suffixed to the application name. While retrieving the application name, the ".ear" suffix is not truncated. Since the application name is retrieved with the ".ear" suffix we interpret it as a different application and try to handle it separately, which leads to a NullPointerException. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The code was changed to properly retrieve the application name from the application file URIs. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 6.0.2.23.
