LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server running a proxy server. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Null Pointer Exceptions occur when proxy server is starting. RECOMMENDATION: None Null Pointer Exceptions can occur during service startup for proxy and its request/response filters. There is a timing window which can produce this situation, where a data object is not available when it is needed. This does not occur every time, being more intermittent. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The code was fixed to avoid the exception and the fix was made available for the 6.0.2 and 6.1 release. The fix will be included in Service Pack 6.0.2.25 and 6.1.0.13 for WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment.
