Description/symptom of problem: PK40296 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: ArrayIndexOutOfRangeException in WsMap in Proxy or ODR. This can cause request failures through the Proxy or ODR. The WsMap.contains or WsMap.remove methods may both erroneously throw this exception. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All user of IBM WebSphere Application Server version 6.1 who are also using the Proxy or users of IBM WebSphere Extended Deployment using the On Demand Router. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException can occur during Proxy or On Demand Router startup when assigning indices to property names. RECOMMENDATION: None An ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException may occur when the Proxy or On Demand Router starts as a Proxy filter calls WsMapFactory to assign an index to a property name. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException was fixed by enlarging the array for property values appropriately. The fix will be included in service pack 6.1.0.9 for WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment.
