Description/symptom of problem: PK35162 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: Methods with a "cacheable" parameter in the IndirectJndiLookup.java, IndirectJndiLookupFactory.java, and IndirectJndiLookupFactoryImpl.java need be marked as "deprecated" and new replacement methods are added in as needed. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server version 6.0.2 users. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the JNDI cache property "com.ibm. websphere.naming.jndicache.cacheobject" is set to "cleared", the first time lookups on certain objects still get the objects from a cache. RECOMMENDATION: None The objects aren't cleared from cache because the objects are stored in the name space as CacheableReference objects, which are not cleared by JNDI cache property setting per design. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: This fix will remove from the EJB Container code the usage of CacheableReferences. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in 6.0.2.19.
