Description/symptom of problem: PK25240 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: When a time stamp is represented as a long, the value is the difference, measured in milliseconds, between the current time and midnight, January 1,1970 UTC (standard base time known as "the epoch"). This is a standard unit of time measurement. Converting a XSD:dateTime time stamp to a long time stamp for a date before January 1, 1970 UTC will always render 0 which indicates an incorrect time stamp. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: Users of WebSphere Application Server version 6.0.2 particularly those who are using the ExtendedDataElement type of the CEI model. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Conversion of dateTime stamp values which represent times before 01-Jan-1970 and stored in the CEI model are rendered as '0'. RECOMMENDATION: None When a time stamp is represented as a long, the value is the difference, measured in milliseconds, between the current time and midnight, January 1,1970 UTC (standard base time known as "the epoch"). This is a standard unit of time measurement. Converting a XSD:dateTime time stamp to a long time stamp for a date before January 1, 1970 UTC will always render 0 which indicates an incorrect time stamp. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: A code update was made to correct the processing of the time stamp values. IFixes were created to address product levels -- 6.0.1.0 and 6.0.2.0 -- up to but not including 6.0.2.15. The code fix was integrated into fixpack 6.0.2.15.
