When installed, if the WebSphere Application Server's JDK bit (32-bit, or 64-bit) does not match the interim fix's bit, Installation Manager will issue a block message and stop the installation. The problem is that you will only see an English message only no matter what system locale you are using. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server installing interim fixes who bit levels do not match. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An English message is issued when install interim fixes whose bit levels do not match, regardless of what system locale you are using. RECOMMENDATION: None When installing a WebSphere Application Server and a JDK interim fix together, if the WebSphere Application Server's JDK bit (32-bit, or 64-bit) does not match the interim fix's bit, Installation Manager will issue a block message and stop the installation. The problem is that you will only see an English message only no matter what system locale you are using. The cause is that the English message was delivered in fix pack 8009 while translated messages were not delivered in fix pack 8009. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The interim fix of this APAR is to patch fix pack 8.0.0.9 with the translated messages. The fix has been in fix pack 8.0.0.10 already via PI12816.
