PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After running several thousand transactions without errors, the recovery log becomes full, and associated messages CWRLS0008E and CWRLS0009E are produced. RECOMMENDATION: None After several thousand successful transactions running Benchmark tests without errors, the recovery log became full. The SystemOutlog reported that the Compensation Service started OK. The Benchmark ran correctly until the log full exception.occurred. A partial stack follows: [4/18/07 6:56:48:671 CDT] 00000047 MultiScopeRec A CWRLS0008E: Recovery log is being marked as failed. [ 3 compensation ] [4/18/07 6:56:48:671 CDT] 00000047 MultiScopeRec I CWRLS0009E: Details of recovery log failure: com.ibm.ws.recoverylog.spi.LogFullException The problem arises when a customer using WebSphere Process Choreographer migrates to a WebSphere Application Server environment with Web Services-BusinessActivity ( WS-BA ) installed. Any WebService calls made without WS-BA will not propagate any compensation contexts across the WebService request. When WS-BA is enabled the compensation context will be propagated, even though it is a Process Choreographer initiated compensation context. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: Class CScopePGMgr will be changed to check whether the CScope contexts are allowed to propagate on Web Services requests or not. The addition of this check will stop Process Choreographer created CScope contexts from flowing across WebService requests. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 6.1.0.11.
