Known problems and limitations for SIP applications
A known problem can apply when you are working with Session Initiation Protocol (SIPWebSphere® Developer Tools. You can have a problem when you deploy SIP 1.1 projects with Web 3.0 and 3.1 facets.
For more information about limitations and troubleshooting tips, see Known problems and limitations for WebSphere Application Server Developer Tools.
Projects that use SIP 1.1 with Web 3.0 and 3.1 facets are not fully supported
WebSphere Developer Tools do not support deploying SIP 1.1 projects with Web 3.0 and 3.1 facets to WebSphere Application Server traditional when you have sip.xml and web.xml files. Therefore, the operation to update the web.xml file with sip.xml content is disabled when you use Web 3.0 and 3.1 facets with SIP 1.1 projects.
You can work around this problem. Use annotations-based programming to develop your SIP applications with Web 3.0 and 3.1 facets. For more information about adding annotations to SIP 1.1 projects, see Adding SIP annotations.
