Removal of a module shared in multiple projects
If a module is shared among multiple projects that run on a WebSphere® Application Server and one of the projects is removed from the server, other projects must be restarted before they can access the resources, such as bean classes, in the project.

If you do not do restart other projects, you might see error messages similar to what is shown in the sample message. This example uses an Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) module and multiple enterprise archive (EAR) projects. These errors happen because Java™ Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) name in the EJB project are removed from the server when the EAR is removed.
Here is a sample error message:
