You install the offering by using IBM® Installation Manager. Installation Manager
installs offerings from one or more product repositories.
About this task
To install WebSphere® Application
Server Liberty for z/OS®, you
need both of the following:
- Installation Manager Version 1.5.2 or later running on a z/OS system
To create an Installation
Manager on z/OS, use one of
the following procedures:
- Install the Installation Manager installation kit (FMID HGIN140) by
using SMP/E, and run batch jobs to create the Installation Manager.
- Download the Installation Manager installation kit as a compressed
file, extract it to your z/OS system,
and invoke shell commands to create the Installation Manager.
- Access to a copy of the product repository at Fix Pack 8.5.5.0
or later.
Perform one of the following procedures:
- Install the WebSphere Application
Server Liberty for z/OS repository
(FMID HBBO850) by using SMP/E, and apply the PTFs for Fix Pack 8.5.5.0
or later.
- Copy the compressed product repositories from the WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5.5
media to your z/OS system,
and uncompress them.
