Removing a service mapping by using the command line

Remove a service mapping by using the wsadmin tool, by removing each of its components. You might use the command line when using scripting, because administrative actions are easily repeatable.

About this task

To remove a service mapping complete the following steps:
  1. Stop the local mapping service, if it is started. See Stopping a local mapping service by using the administrative console
  2. Detach the service map from the local mapping service, so that requests are no longer transformed or rerouted. See Detaching a service map from a local mapping service by using the administrative console
  3. Delete the local mapping service so that requests are no longer intercepted. See Deleting a local mapping service by using the administrative console.
  4. Uninstall the a service map that was attached to the local mapping service used for this particular service mapping.
Note: A service map can be attached to multiple local mapping services. Therefore, uninstalling a service map can affect other service mappings. Check if other local mapping services are using the service map you want to uninstall.
For information about how to uninstall a service map, see Uninstalling a service map by using the administrative console.
