Accessing Edge Components documentation from the installation directory

In addition to accessing the documents on the Web site, if you select to install the documentation package, you can also access product documentation in either PDF or HTML format from the product installation directory. The following information provides the default installation paths for the documentation:

For Concepts, Planning, and Installation for Edge Components, Caching Proxy Administration Guide, and the Programming Guide for Edge Components, the default location is:

• Linux and UNIX systems:

PDF: /opt/ibm/edge/doc/<lang>/pdf/
• Windows systems:

Install IBM HTTP Server using the LaunchPad installation program for Edge Components. The HTTP Server Information Center index page is installed:

Accessing WebSphere HTTP plug-in information

Install the plug-in using the LaunchPad installation program for Edge Components. For setup information, refer to the WebSphere Application Server Version 6 Information Center, which is available at:

To obtain information on the plug-in at this Web site:

1. Select a version of the WebSphere Application Server Information Center
2. From the navigation menu, click WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment > Environment > Web servers > Configuring Web server plug-ins
