Using the service policy perspective

The service policy perspective displays service policy information in a tree. You can hover over links with your mouse to see detailed information of your policy. Additionally, you have administrative capabilities when you left-click a link.

Hover help and configuration settings in the service policy perspective

Procedure

  1. Click Runtime Operations > Runtime Topology.
  2. From the Select a perspective list, select Service Policy.
  3. From the Select a service policy list, select a service policy. An X in a pink circle indicates a critical status, and X in a black circle indicates a fatal status, and X in a red circle indicates a severe status, and an exclamation point in a triangle indicates a warning. You can also select All to view all service policies. You can take the following actions:
    • In the tree, hover over the links to see statistics, such as goal values and transaction classes. Green arrow icons represent a running server instance, and red arrow icons represent a stopped server instance.
    • Left-click the green arrow to stop the instance, use Smart stop , or view the server logs.
    • Left-click any of the blue text to access administrative tasks or information. For example, the administrative options, Stop Server, Smart stop and Show Server Logs for a server instance open with a left-click the server instance.
