Configuration properties for Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator

Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator can add and remove servers from the working set of servers that WebSphere Extended Deployment uses. The WebSphere Extended Deployment device driver provides workflows and a device model to enable Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator to integrate with WebSphere Extended Deployment. The properties listed in the following table are used by these workflows for interacting with WebSphere Extended Deployment. Customize these properties for your deployment.

Set the following properties before implementing workloads in Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator.

Property name Contains Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator object settings
wip.WAS.host The fully qualified host name of the system WebSphere Application Server nodes and on demand routers (ODR).
wip.WAS.baselocation The installation location of WebSphere Extended Deployment WebSphere Application Server nodes, on demand routers, and deployment manager
wip.WASND.nodeGroupName The name of the WebSphere Extended Deployment node groups that are connected with the cluster.
Remember: Do not list the DefaultNodeGroup node group as a value for this property. Dynamic clusters cannot be backed by the DefaultNodeGroup node group, so Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator cannot manage this node group. You must create or use node groups other than the default. Every node must belong to at least one node group at all times. See Configuring Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator to work with Extended Deployment for more information.

wip.WAS.nodeName The name of the WebSphere Application Server node. WebSphere Application Server nodes and on demand routers
packagepath The path to the WebSphere Extended Deployment package. Software installable (used by installation workflows)
wasxd.responsefile The WebSphere Extended Deployment response file. Software installable (used by installation workflows)
wip.WAS.ODR.clusterName The Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator name of the on demand router cluster. WebSphere Application Server node cluster (used by the objective analyzer)
tmpDir Directory to hold temporary files. The default is /var/tmp. WebSphere Application Server nodes and ODRs, which are used by installation workflows
File name (property) The file name of the installation image Software installable, which are used by installation workflows
Root path (property) The root path of the file repository File repository, which is used by installation workflows
prereq The name of the prerequisite software installable Software installable
installType Software installable type, for example, full, updi, or ifix Software installable
wasxd.responsefile.uninstall On a service pack or interim fix software installable, specifies the response file name for uninstall. Specify the existing response file name. Software installable, which is used by installation workflows
