Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator can add and remove servers from the working set of servers that WebSphere Extended Deployment uses. The WebSphere Extended Deployment device driver provides workflows and a device model to enable Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator to integrate with WebSphere Extended Deployment. The properties listed in the following table are used by these workflows for interacting with WebSphere Extended Deployment. Customize these properties for your deployment.
Set the following properties before implementing workloads in Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator.
Property name | Contains | Tivoli Intelligent Orchestrator object settings |
wip.WAS.host | The fully qualified host name of the system | WebSphere Application Server nodes and on demand routers (ODR). |
wip.WAS.baselocation | The installation location of WebSphere Extended Deployment | WebSphere Application Server nodes, on demand routers, and deployment manager |
wip.WASND.nodeGroupName | The name of the WebSphere Extended Deployment node groups
that are connected with the cluster. Remember: Do not list the
DefaultNodeGroup node group as a value for this property. Dynamic clusters
cannot be backed by the DefaultNodeGroup node group, so Tivoli Intelligent
Orchestrator cannot manage this node group. You must create or use node groups
other than the default. Every node must belong to at least one node group
at all times. See Configuring Tivoli Intelligent
Orchestrator to work with Extended Deployment for more information.
