Configuring the WebSphere Commerce nodes to be managed by dynamic operations

To use WebSphere Extended Deployment dynamic operations with a WebSphere Commerce server, create a node group, create a dynamic cluster, and map the demo application to the new dynamic cluster.

Procedure

  1. Create a node group for the WebSphere Commerce nodes and add your WebSphere Commerce nodes to the node group. For more information about creating node groups, see Creating or editing a node group .
    1. In the administrative console, click System administration > Node groups > New.
    2. Add the WebSphere Commerce nodes to the node group.
    3. Save changes to the master repository.
  2. Create a dynamic cluster for the WebSphere Commerce nodes. See Creating dynamic clusters for more information about creating a dynamic cluster. Map the dynamic cluster to the node group that you created for the WebSphere Commerce nodes. Use the existing WC_demo application server as your application server template. Save your changes to the master repository.
  3. Install your application to the newly created dynamic cluster.
    1. Click Applications > Enterprise applications.
    2. Click demo.
    3. Click Map Modules to Servers.
    4. Map the application to the newly created dynamic cluster.
    5. Save your changes to the master repository.
