Creating the default work class

Because of the way WebSphere Commerce is deployed in this environment, a default work class is not created for managing traffic into service classes. If you want to classify traffic into service classes, you must create the default work class.

About this task

Do the following to create the default work class:

Procedure

  1. Launch the Deployment Manager Administration Console.
  2. Click Applications > Enterprise Applications.
  3. Select the WC_demo application.
  4. Click the Service Policies tab.
  5. Expand Work Classes for HTTP Requests.
  6. Click New.
  7. Name the work class Default_HTTP_WC.
  8. For each of the WAR files, add the custom pattern wildcard (*) to the member list of the work class:
    1. CommerceAccelerator.war
    2. OrganizationAdministration.war
    3. SiteAdministration.war
    4. Stores.war
  9. Click Next and then Finish to complete the work class creation.
  10. Expand Work Classes for HTTP Requests.

  13. Click OK and save changes.
