Using the application perspective

The application topology perspective, the tree view and custom charting in the application topology perspective are the mechanisms that you can use to find out how your applications are performing. The application perspective displays application information in a tree. Hover help shows detailed information about your application.

Procedure

  1. Click Runtime Operations > Runtime Topology.
  2. From the Select a perspective list, select Application.
  3. From the Select an application list, select an application. You can also select All to view all applications. Green arrow icons represent a running server instance, and red arrow icons represent a stopped server instance. An X in a pink circle indicates a critical status, and X in a black circle indicates a fatal status, and X in a red circle indicates a severe status, and an exclamation point in a triangle indicates a warning. You can take the following actions:
    • In the tree, hover over the links to see statistics such as transaction classes, running instances, and so forth.
    • Left-click the green icon to stop the instance, use Smart stop , or view the server logs.
    • Left-click any of the blue text to access administrative tasks or information.
