- Stop all the processes that are running on the workstation that
you are preparing for installation. Type the following commands:

of installation that you want to perform and click Next.

might fail.

the installation location. From the
list, select the WebSphere Application Server installation that you are extending.
If you use another installation path and it does not display in the table,
type the directory path in the Installation Location field, and click Next.
- Select the existing profiles for your installation to
augment, and click Next. You
can also augment a profile later by using the Profile wizard or the wasprofile command.
Augment the deployment manager profile and the custom profile to work for
this product.
- Click Next to accept the installation summary, or click Back to
change your selections.
- Review the confirmation panel, and click Finish to exit
the wizard or to review the log files if the installation fails.
- Repeat this process to install the product on each node in the
cell.
Tip: Use the same CD to install the product on
the nodes.
Next, configure each node to meet your objectives, which
you can do either from the administrative console, or by using the wsadmin
tool.
- Click Servers > All servers to configure each node from
the administrative console.
- See Scripts
to
configure each node by using the wsadmin tool.
