The Object Level Trace Viewer has two display modes, partial-order and real-time, in which different levels of information about the sequence of events can be obtained. In the default mode, partial-order display, events are depicted in a manner very similar to a sequence diagram in which time flows horizontally from left to right. The primary emphasis of this mode is on the interaction and communication of object instances and their causal relationships; the order in which the events appear does not necessarily reflect the exact instant in which they occur. In real-time display mode, events are drawn along a time scale, and are thus depicted in the sequence in which they actually occur. The distance between events is determined by the setting for the number of microseconds per pixel, which can be changed.
