Apache SOAP Version 2.2 is a Java-based implementation of the SOAP 1.1 specification with support for SOAP with attachments. Tools are provided to assist you with deploying these artifacts as SOAP services. See article Deploying a programming artifact as a SOAP accessible Web service for more information. As part of deploying your services, you can choose to enable the XML-SOAP Admin tool, which allows you to manage your SOAP-enabled services. WebSphere Application Server also contains an implementation of the security extensions for SOAP. These security extensions provide secure connections and enable digitally signed messages.
