When performance analysis is enabled (under File > Preferences > OLT > Display, select Performance analysis), the trace line between any two calls that take more than a certain time interval is turned to red (this color can be changed). This includes calls made within the client, within the server, or client-to-server calls.
You can change the time interval size under Performance Analysis settings (File > Preferences > OLT > Display).
The highlighting enables you to analyze the performance of your application, isolate bottlenecks, and determine which functions are slower than others.
If you encounter performance problems, you may want to switch to a real-time display,
by selecting File > Preferences > OLT > Display. Under Display
style, click Real-time. You can also toggle between real-time
and partial order display styles by clicking the Toggle realtime display toolbar
button ().
