4.2.2.3.5.3: JSP syntax: Setting bean properties

You can set bean properties by using the <jsp:setProperty> tag. The <jsp:setProperty> tag specifies a list of properties and the corresponding values. The properties are set after the the bean is instantiated using the <jsp:useBean> tag.

You must declare the bean with <jsp:useBean> before you can set a property value.
