Adding users and groups to bus connector roles using the wsadmin tool

Users must be authorized to connect to a service integration bus. To give a user or group permission to connect to a local bus, use these commands to add them to the connector role for the appropriate local bus. This allows them to access local destinations, or send messages to destinations on foreign buses.

The commands described in this topic are all run using the AdminTask object of the wsadmin scripting client. Each command acts on multiple objects in one operation. The commands are provided to allow you to make the most commonly-required types of update in a consistent manner, where modifying the underlying objects directly would be error-prone.

Commands

Adding a user
To add a user to a bus connector role, use the following command:
$AdminTask addUserToBusConnectorRole {-bus busName  -user userName}
Adding a group
To add a group to a bus connector role, use the following command:
$AdminTask addGroupToBusConnectorRole {-bus busName  -group groupName}
Server
To allow servers to connect to the bus, use the following command:
$AdminTask addGroupToBusConnectorRole {-bus busName  Server}
All Authenticated
To allow all authenticated users to connect to the bus, use the following command:
$AdminTask addGroupToBusConnectorRole {-bus busName  AllAuthenticated}
Everyone
To allow unauthenticated users to connect to the bus, use the following command:
$AdminTask addGroupToBusConnectorRole {-bus busName  Everyone}
After using these commands, save your changes to the master configuration; for example, by using the following command:
 $AdminConfig save
