Why and when to perform this task
You
use the administrative console to delete gateway instances. When
you delete a gateway instance, the following associated resources are also
deleted:
- All gateway and proxy services deployed to the gateway instance are deleted.
- All target services deployed to any of the gateway services are deleted.
- All outbound services created when creating any of the gateway services
through the administrative console "create a new gateway service" wizard
are deleted.
Note: When you migrate a gateway that contains filters from WebSphere
Application Server Version 5 to Version 6, one or more correlation queue destinations
are created. These destinations are not removed automatically when you delete
the migrated gateway. For information about finding and removing these destinations
manually, see the corresponding
troubleshooting tip.
To delete one or more
gateway instances through the administrative console, complete the following
steps:
Steps for this task
- Start the administrative console.
- In the navigation pane, click bus_name. A list of gateway instances is displayed in a gateway
instances collection form.
- Select the check box for every gateway instance that you want to
remove.
- Click Delete.
If the processing completes successfully, the list of gateway instances
is updated. Otherwise, an error message is displayed.
