Troubleshooting name space problems

When developing or running applications, you might encounter name space problems.

About this task

Many naming problems can be avoided by fully understanding the key underlying concepts of the Naming service.

Procedure

  1. Review the key concepts of the Naming service, especially Name space logical view and Lookup names support in deployment descriptors and thin clients.
  2. Review the programming examples that are included in the sections explaining the JNDI and CosNaming interfaces.
