Controlling which messaging engines can connect to a bus

When messaging security is enabled, only authorized messaging engines are allowed to create a connection to a secure bus. Use this task to control which messaging engines are allowed to connect to a selected secure bus.

To control which messaging engines can create a connection to a selected bus, complete the following steps:

Steps for this task

Set the Inter-engine authentication alias property to prevent unauthorized clients or messaging engines from establishing a connection; see Configuring bus properties.
Important: The userid specified in the Inter-engine authentication alias must not be used by messaging clients. It must not be given the bus connector role.
