Messaging engine communication
You can configure different transport options for communication
between messaging engines and with WebSphere MQ networks. For example, this
allows you to specify which protocols will be able to communicate.
Inbound transport options
There are number of general considerations, such as network and security settings, that apply when configuring messaging engines that receive messages.
Outbound transport options
There are number of general considerations that apply to configuring messaging engines that send messages. These include how they establish connections with other messaging engines or with WebSphere MQ queue manager which collects and then delivers messages that are received.
Secure transport considerations
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) provides security when communicating with messaging engines. There are number of important considerations that apply to configuring secure transport, such as inbound chains which allow two messaging engines to communicate using an SSL.
